John Kennedy (R) to run against Mary Landrieu (D) for US Senate (LOUISIANA)

November 29, 2007

In a little less than a year, Louisianians will go to the polls to elect our next United States Senator. In doing so, our people will decide who they want to represent our state and our values in Washington, D.C.

I want you to be the first to know that today I will take the first steps and file the necessary paperwork to run for the United States Senate in 2008. I plan to officially kick off the campaign early next year. Please know that Becky and I made this decision carefully, after much thought, prayer and discussion.

Over the next few months, I will lay the groundwork of support for an aggressive campaign that will focus on a frank discussion of the issues and how I will help move Louisiana forward working in tandem with our new reform leadership in Baton Rouge.

I also want to share with you the results of a poll I commissioned recently. The 1,000 sample “likely voters” poll conducted by Zogby International showed me leading incumbent Senator Mary Landrieu by 45% to 38% with a 3.2% margin of error. (Click here for more.)

Early support in an important race like this is essential, and you can play a significant role in building that foundation. Your financial contribution today will help us lay the groundwork for next year’s campaign, which most national observers say will be one of the highest profile and competitive U.S. Senate races in the nation. Click here to make a secure credit card contribution online.

I will win this election with the support of Louisianians like you. Thank you for your continued support and friendship. Thank you for giving so much to Louisiana.

I’ll actually send Kennedy some money, even though I’m in Ohio.

Baby Fat Landrieu and her ilk need to be retired from public service.

A bank robber of yore, a internet kook, a killer whale, or a drunk lying in his own vomit, depending on your point of view....(chuckle)

Feel free to choose which you prefer.

Hey, we can reuse a political slogan from 1946:

“Vote for John Kennedy, ‘The Fighting Conservative’!”

Ask not what Louisiana can do for you but what you can do for Louisiana.

JFK said “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”. Isn’t that just like a socialist to want you to do something for the state like be obedient.

This and that liberal JFK spent trillions on the government space program and he and his brother Ted kennedy gave us the current illegal immigration nightmare with their chain migration. The kennedy’s are socialist/liberals no matter how many times the liberal media tries to deify this commie JFK and label it a conservative.

That being said I hope this Republican Kennedy is nothing like a Kenndy and will defeat this Landrue democrat commie.

If that poll he released is accurate, this should be fun.
