Evangelical megachurch gives Hillary warm welcome

LAKE FOREST, Calif. – Within days of introducing a $50 billion plan to combat AIDS, Sen. Hillary Clinton received a standing ovation at one of the nation's most influential evangelical churches after addressing its "Global Summit on AIDS and the Church." If the Democratic presidential frontrunner's aim was to make inroads into the electorate's heavily Republican evangelical community, her appearance at Saddleback Church with pastor and "The Purpose Driven Life" author Rick Warren apparently didn't hurt.

Too bad they didn’t perform an exorcism while they had the chance.

John the Baptist would not have invited her (or Herodias)to speak.

Instead of inviting her in to speak, John would have put a finger in her face and told her openly to repent.

He would have told her in no uncertain terms that her judgements for the abomination of the sodomites, for fornication, abortion, gay marriage, government indoctrination of children against God are all horrible sins against God Almighty.

Instead of allowing her to use him for political manipulation, Rick Warren should have openly confronted her about her destructive open promotions of wickedness.

Next week, maybe Rick Warren will invite Rosie O'Donnell to speak to the children.

It is not the duty of a Pastor to hand the podium over to an unrepentant abortion advocate and homosexual advoacte. One has to question the Christianity of any pastor that would do that.

Well, Rick must have failed to spend more time in prayer to decide on that aspect. He doesn't even have to pray though. But as far as inviting a non-believer into a church of whatever background, i don't have a problem with it... unless of course it compromises security of the congregation.

If Hillary came to my church she would have to sit in the pews with all of us unwashed and she would be subjected to a fiery gospel message sure to curl the bristles on her broomstick.

It should have been the right thing to do. It will scare the devil out of her...

The Clintons are running on finding a cure for AIDS? That’s the same issue they ran on in 1992.

Rick Warren may spend hours on end talking to God, but it is pretty clear that he doesn't listen.

Thanks a lot. Great info on that.

I don't spend so much of my time studying what this guy is and his teachings. They profess themselves as Christians... that's good, at least they're not muzzies. But identity should be consistent with opinion, lifestyle and choices. If they failed on that, then somebody should remind or correct them.

This might have been his prayer:

"Well, I like Hillary's program on Aids. I think I will invite her in our service. For your information."

Some prayers are not asking about God's guidance, it's sometimes just informing God of what will somebody do. And as usual blame Him if it messed up.

NO, it is not his duty. If he invites a speaker, he automatically stands behind that speaker and his or her agenda. He is giving Hilary a great pat on the back, as Billy Graham did in NY.

" It is his duty as any other pastor or any other Christian to welcome individuals to their house of worship. "

It definitely isn't his duty to welcome any Tom Dick or Mary to address his congregation on the issue of sexual activity, especially when Hillary espouses a condoms-first approach to AIDS.

I believe that Hillary's expressions of her Christianity will grow in direct proportion to Romney's assent. She will attempt to exploit latent discomfort with Mormonism by peppering more and more of her rhetoric with religious and theological references subtly and cleverly intended to juxtapose with Mormon beliefs (the centrality and inerrancy of the Bible, Monotheism, etc). Her team will never overtly raise the issue. This will be a classic whisper campaign, aimed primarily at peeling away Red state Bible-belters. Publicly, of course, she'll bitterly deny any such crass sort of political calculation.

Against a backdrop of open-minded sounding platitudes about America's traditions of religious freedom, Hillary will praise Mitt for his family, his choices, his values and so on, carefully avoiding of criticism of Mormonism. But between the lines her message to those Christians who are uncomfortable with Mormonism will be, "Whatever our political differences, at least I'm on your team and not one of those, well, you know ... Nudge, nudge, say no more."

The obligatory "I know everyone knew what was meant but I can't help myself anyway spelling correction": Hillary's expressions of her Christianity will grow in direct proportion to Romney's assent ascent.

Just amazing how the ultimate huckster (Hillary) can separate those of supposed “Christian values” from same!

The “fox” outsmarts the chickens again!

What part of “pure evil” = Hillary’s politics do you NOT understand?

She is directly promoting not only international murderers/criminals and killers, but 43 million aborted babies in American. And millions more every year worldwide.

Her ties to China (Chinese bribes to her!) through their illegal campaign money - sold for US technology - will KILL us when their missiles are launched. How many more murders do you seek?

Her Yugoslavian escapades in 98 & 99 killed even more innocents - all to drive attention away from impeachment.

She is pure evil. Nothing more - and this speech is DELIBERATELY a charade to convince dupes like yourself that she is "Christian" - and to condemn her is to be judgmental. BS. Her staff, her supporters express their vicious hated of Christ in every speech - almost in every sentence, and she leads that hatred while clutching as big a Bible as possible on her way to a photoshoot on Sunday morning coming out of the White House.

While her "husband" was wiping his sperm off the lips of a woman who just serviced him in the bathroom. THAT is the image of Hillary you need to remember: carrying a Bible to a photoshoot, waiting for her husband to in the bathroom.

Don’t be shocked. If I’m not mistaken, Rick Warren signed the letter of apology that was sent by Christians to Muslims.

Uhm, er, yes. But God knows what somebody truly is. God knows when a person is lying and deceiving the public for power & money.

The PUBLIC cannot know when the PUBLIC is being also deceived by an enabler and a fellow deceiver. This “minister” is serving evil as well, or even better, than Goebbels served Hitler, and the KGB served Stalin.
