I just told the RNC to go pound sand (Vanity).

Posted on 12/03/2007 12:07:50 PM PST by KenHorse

I just received a call from the RNC fundraising machine. I told the unfortunate soul at the other end...

"Until such time that the RNC and its leadership starts showing some balls, starts standing up the Democrat pukes and starts standing up for conservative principals again, the RNC will not receive another red cent from me".

I then hung up.

Having worked as a telemarketer, I can tell you the ruder you are...the more likely it will get passed on. They may refer to you as an arse...but it gets results

Believe me....friendliness is never remembered as much as firm rudeness (when needed)

The RNC has major problems...they may keep big donors but are losing core voters

Although this may make you feel better, I think it is more constructive to tell them who you are giving the money to instead. I’ve kept my donation rate about the same but give directly to conservative candidates or causes of my choice.

I think that is more effective with the RNC. I still tell them, like you, what they need to do to get my money in the future.

Wouldn’t hurt if they went back to the Contract With America kind of goals again so people can want to be with them more.

I don’t think he is trying to “feel better about himself.” Many of us have the same level of frustration with our elected RINOs. I would have certainly done the same thing.

It'd be easy for the GOP to get my cash.

Earn it.

Bill of Rights enforcement is my only criteria. Stop trying to be Democrat-lite.

Yeah... they defaulted on that Contract.

Also, their current selection of GOP contenders for POTUS leaves a bit to be desired. Didn't they learn anything with "Brady Bill" Bob Dole? There are only TWO on the list that are even remotely acceptable (Hunter and Thompson).

What gives?

I need to start a business like that. Provide no service, no product, just give me your money.

Ok everyone, I'm open for business! I provide no services or products. Just drop you money in here!

Thank you, come again.

From what I’ve heard many many folks have had the same response and you know it has to get back to the party bigs when donations are down.
It is one good way to let your feelings be known.

There are not enough people posting skulls sinking into the darkness. I think more of those will bring about better Republican Candidates, don’t you?

"Things will be so much better with the DEMOCRATS winning because the RNC has less money than they......"

Not exactly the fault of people like this poster or me that the RNC prefers to have NO $ to fight the Democrats in the next election, and is soliciting self-funding candidates for all their empty seats due to retirements (like they've always done rather than fund someone opposing an entrenched Democrat like Byrd) as they find it preferable to support policies that show they are LIBERAL, wannabe Democrats, rather than adopt a conservative agenda.

Why would any fool vote for them, let alone give their hard earned $ to them so they can waste it trying to defeat a conservative so their favorite candidates like Chafee can lose to the real deal Democrat in the general?

It's apparent that the Republican party apparatchiks are uncomfortable with wielding power and prefer the Democrats be in charge as they find the Democrats preferable to conservatives.

I then hung up.

Why didn't you spend some time converting the lost soul to a third party? Just hanging up is rude and doesn't advance the cause of destroying the New World Order clique.

Ahhhh how could I have been so foolish!?!?!?! I've seen the errors of my ways

Apparently I can make my attitude about what a bunch of pussies the RNC Leadership has been by giving them more money!!!!

How could I have been so stupid?!?!?!

I LOVE doing that! I used to not like to answer the phone but NOW I do cause I get to tell them what I think! After explaining to a fundraiser recently that my husband has been battling esophageal cancer for the last and we haven’t extra funds available to help in anyway they continued to ask for money but in lesser amounts. I finally had to hang up ... relentless and heartless ...

I suspect that underpaid and underappreciated telemarketer has heard that line a few times previously today. The GOP just can’t stand for principle: it’s like the old PA ground hog, afraid of its own shadow.

LOL. Not exactly what I was trying to say. The guy you blasted most likely works for the folks the RNC outsources telemarketing to. You felt better after doing what you did (and that’s important), but most likely had no impact beyond that.

Far be it from me to suggest that someone lose their ‘tude :-)
