This is not good news, but, on the other hand, it’s hardly surprising either just as his rise in Iowa was no surprise. If Huckabee starts to challenge Romney in NH, that would be significant, not to mention frightening. I don’t have the faintest idea how this thing is going to shake out and I don’t believe anyone else, including the candidates, does either.

Thompson has a southern accent and he’s from Tennessee.
Oh, and he’s a conservative.
Compared to the Hucksterbee.

Huckabee will fall. The question is who will pick up his support. My inclination is that Thompson better step over the dead body or he is done.
To: 11th Commandment
I don’t care who, but someone must stop Huckabee, RINO world...
For all the concerns about Rudy, he’s conservative on Defense and Economics... On a global level that is key.
Romney and Thompson are fine with me...
But we now have two states of ignoramuses who don’t get it....They want to elect Hillary and have the Feds intrude in our lives even more....

We desperately need some advertisements showing who the real Huckabee is on illegal immigration, big spending, higher taxes, pardons for murderers and oh, some ethics problems.
The problem is, the Huckster is getting a free ride.

Agreed. Fortunately there’s a month to go until the voting starts, though in reality less than that since once it gets near Christmas and New Year’s people are going to start tuning politics out.

Several months ago, my brother sent me an email talking about how wonderful Gov Huckabee is and to vote for him. From what I remember, the email had been sent to quite a few people. It seems to me that Gov. Huckabee’s campaign has wisely used an internet resource to spread the word into many American households. The email seemed to have been written by an individual who was extolling the virtues of the governor without it appearing to be a campaign pitch.

The problem is that a large chunk of the GOP electorate is more impressed with a guy who smiles and talks about Jesus a lot, than a man who understands our Constitution and the threats we face from invasion and terrorism.

You’ll be seeing a lot of Al Bundy commentary about Huck from me here. As Al would say “He’s a wheenie.”
