According to the article the guys he shot were in his yard. They were lifelong criminals, illegal immigrants and probably hooked up with a major crime ring. They WERE dangerous. IF they were shot while retreating they could have been going back to their cars for a weapon or anything else.

It won’t matter. He shot them in the back which clearly indicates that they were not threatening him. Not necessarily. Inside your home Texas law gives one the right to shoot an intruder any time of day from any direction. After dark the same applies outdoors on your property. The new stand your ground law allows property owners even more leeway at any time of day if their home, property, auto, or business is threatened.

They ought to give him a medal, WHEREVER he shot them.

Agreed. I find it highly suspect that now an undercover cop has miraculously appeared at the scene. They want to make gun owners and property protectors look bad. I find this suspicious

They shouldn’t have been in the US illegally to begin with. They’d still be alive if there were back in their OWN country instead of trying to rob Anericans and break our laws. I’m sorry, I don’t feel sorry for them. Americans are murdered every day by illegals...........so this time it went the other way.

From the article:
Horn told the operator that he did not know his neighbors well. Neighbors said the family moved into the home next to Horn's house about four months ago.

You and me both. Why wasn't this detectives alleged presence at the scene commented on earlier? Getting his story straight for the railroading job to come?
One has to wonder.

I initially thought that this was Joe Horn the wide receiver

(if you've been asked to watch it) That's the other big problem for Mr Horn, on the tape he says he doesn't know the neighbors, this was mr horns daughters house, he was living with her.

He shot them in the back which clearly indicates that they were not threatening him. It's Texas. That isn't relevant. If it had been his own house, there wouldn't even be any discussion. Since it was the neighbors, there is at least a little room for debate, but he should get off.

If they were in his yard they were probably headed for his house or him.

"I find it highly suspect that now an undercover cop has miraculously appeared at the scene. They want to make gun owners and property protectors look bad. I find this suspicious"There'll be radio logs, which document his arrirval on scene. There's no reason the cop needed to speak out before all the other testimony was collected, especially since this latest evidence contradicts the shooter's story and the neighbor that backed him up. Unless he was charging the shooter backwards.

I don’t know if they turned but if they were in his yard it was for a reason.
