I will vote for him, unless Fred comes on strong then he has my vote. I will not vote for Huckabee unless he wins and is in the general election, then I will hold my nose and pull the lever because its either that or Hillary, Barack or Edwards and I find that unacceptable.

Look out!! Your (Refreshing and correct) main-stream Republican views are about to get your head taken off, I'm guessing (You conservative HATING liberal PLANT!!).

Good to see some common sense, though...We need more of it.

These are not the credentials of a man smarter than a Harvard MBA and a Harvard lawyer. Or valedictorian from his undergrad school

All of which stills misses the point. All of the mainstream candidates (from both parties) are smart enough to handle the job. It is when you start looking at their policies that you see that intelligence and wisdom are not the same commodity.

1. I’m a proud Freeper

2. I’m for Mitt

3. I’ve been around here long enough to know that Freepers are NOT mainstream conservatives - not that there’s anything wrong with that...

Good point.

This is the kind of endorsement I like. Tell me why I should vote for your guy, not why the other guy is a heel...

From my vantage point, anyone who can win the GOP nomination is going to be a ton better than anyone who can win the Dim nod...

Even Reagan was a liberal before he was a consevative so I guess I’ll keep an open mind on Romney for a while.

I thought he was more of a Conservative Democrat who felt the party abandoned him.

Well, like or not, poll after poll show that Romney's Mormonism is going to cost him millions of votes. It doesn't matter if you agree with that reality or not.

The facts are is liberal record is the far bigger problem. Only a fool would believe this guy is anything but the second-coming of Bill Clinton. He's a fraud with a liberal record.

But, you apparently want to drink the Kool-Aid and suck up everything the guy says. But, if he gets in office, he won't hesitate to betray conservatives every chance he gets.

Assuming Huckabee were to get elected, he is more apt to adhere closer to the conservative line than Romney.

Pointless assumption, because it aim't going to happen. If Huckabee runs he'll be squashed like a bug by the 'rats.

Actually, FRiend, we -and others around America- DO ask
if illegal aliens are involved.

And Romney was 1) already caught and exposed by the
Boston Globe (which does not like him), and
2) was running for President.

Given 1) and 2) Romney is a PROVEN two-faced hypocrite,
a “believer of convenience”.

“Americans do not respect believers of convenience.”

I also support Governor Romney because of his character, his integrity and his stands on the major issues facing the United States.

Judge Bork, are you a man experiencing the onslaught of memory loss or are you paid handsomely to use your name as a promoter of Mitt Romney?

Either way your recollection of Mitt Romney and his political work is untrue.

Mitt Romney has touted true conservative values ONLY after deciding to run for POTUS.

Character and integrity don't fit in with this scenario for Mitt.

It appears as though you have done your homework in politics and tote a convicted personal mindset toward conservative values because of it. /s

Better a Mormon or a snake handler in the White House than a Democrat. The Democats have drifted so far to the left they may well destroy the county if given half a chance.

I place my bets on a conservative rather than a liberal.

Party affiliation isn't a concern to me.

No one concerned with conservative ideals would ever vote for Romney. A vote for Romney is a vote against true conservatism. But, it might be that many who are otherwise conservative just imagine that Romney could win, so they want to support the winner so that when he gets into office he might favor them with scraps from his liberal table.

Romney is NOT a principled conservative choice, but he IS a desperate one.

“National Review” and Bork....tend to disagree with you. I think I like their assessment a little better than yours.

If you really look at their assessments, the bottom line is that they picked him because they think he can win, NOT because they think he’s the most conservative. They have chosen winning over ideology and they know it.
