Partisans make a campaign. These shameless violators of the 11th commandment will come begging to the the winner of the Primaries once they realize the alternative is a Democrat. I like Tancredo, but he, like Duncan or Alan Keyes, never built a National Constituency.

That is their task as a candidate, not mine.
Mitt is doing that, Giuliani is doing that, Huck is, and so is Fred. McCain had something of a national constituency, but he did his best to insult them.

Good point. Perhaps, though, the fake badges, fake troopers,
fake crying, fake conservativism, fake MLK walk, fake
non-illegal immigrant workers, fake lack of tax increases,
fake being like Reagan, etc. are just the
'tip of the iceberg' for Romney.

No wonder the DNC is salivating at running against Romney (who is dropping like a rock in Massachusetts against Hillary).

SO when you are called on your blatant and unsubstantiated attack on Tancredo as someone who would give away his endorsement for a bribe, you just switch to your next attack, which is that Tom Tancredo is too stupid to know what he’s doing.

It’s sad to see so many so-called “conservatives” so quick to throw around clintonesque attacks against fellow conservatives.

I can picture some of you standing outside the republican convention, Mitt Romney has been chosen by acclimation, the delegates are filing out, and you are all standing their with sad looks on your faces, pointing at each delegate as they leave and shouting, with a shaky voice:

“and YOU’RE a liberal, and YOU’RE a liberal, and YOU’RE a liberal, and YOU’RE a liberal”,

while choking back the tears.

Maybe Fred Thompson can still save you from that fate.

Website Tracks Candidates on Immigration
KTAR ^ | December 20th, 2007 | Jon Zimney
Posted on 12/20/2007 1:59:41 PM CST by mdittmar

A website’s been established to track the presidential candidates’ positions on immigration issues.

``Numbers USA” is a non-partisan, anti-illegal immigration group which breaks down each candidate’s stance on 16 immigration issues.

``We look at workplace enforcement, we look at the fence, we look at helping local governments to help enforce the law, we look at chain migration,” said founder Ron Beck.

He listed the Republicans, from toughest on illegal immigration to the weakest.

``It’s pretty much (Tom) Tancredo, (Duncan) Hunter, (Fred) Thompson, then Ron Paul, (Mike) Huckabee, (Mitt) Romney, then much lower (Rudy) Giuliani and way down at the bottom (John) McCain.”

As for the Democrats, Beck said, ``Every single one of them is just awful. We rank everyone of the Democratic candidates abysmal, on amnesty for example.”

The website’s updated daily as candidates address the issue.

It sounded to me like he’s looking at a possible cabinet position and probably some backing for a senate run in the future.

I’m not going to beat him up for it but I don’t expect his endorsement to mean a great deal to the people who have supported him.

This shows how disengenuous is the slamming of Romney, for his past positions.

Did Romney give him some Franklins?

I would say it was a lot more than franklins. But then Tancredo slipped a whole bunch when he signed on to that bogus amnesty plan from the democrat liberal in North Carolina.

Try reading. I asked a question:

"Did Romney give him some Franklins?"

THAT is a logical, reasonable question.

Another reasonable question is:
Given that Romney cannot even win in the state of which
he was governor, are you smart enough to understand why
the DNC and MSM want him as the GOP candidate?

Yeah, considering Romney was a vocal supporter of Bush’s terrible immigration plan, I can’t see how Romney can rate very high on immigration.

Your question suggests that if ROmney HAD given Tancredo money, Tancredo would have taken it.

So you DID personally and without any evidence attack Tancredo.

And when I called you on it, you completely ignored your original baseless attack and switched to calling Tancredo stupid.

As to your reasonable question, yes, I am smart enough to understand that even people as stupid as those in the MSM and the DNC know that Mitt not being able to win in liberal Massachusetts means NOTHING about his ability to win the election.

We have NO republican who could win Massachusetts, unless the DNC ends up picking a complete idiot.

To illustrate the low value of your question, Duncan Hunter would NEVER carry California, and yet the DNC and MSM don’t seem to want HIM to be our nominee. But Huckabee might very well win Arkansas, and it sure looks like the MSM and DNC were hoping he’d win.

But thank you for asking a real question.

Wrong. Gov. Reagan won Massachusetts and he was gov of CA.

But then Reagan had character and was a REAL conservative
and was not liar and fraud.

BTW, please correct me if I am wrong, but
the ONLY mention of the word ‘stupid’ in this thread
is in YOUR posts. No wonder you like Romney.
Were you there marching with Moses and MLK, too?

Ok, what has changed since the 27 of July? Tanc was railing againest Romney over amnesty and now he endorses him????

Five months is an awful long time for Romney to hold a position. Romney has probably flipped or flopped over to Tancredo's position. Hard to tell where he will be in five more months.

Somebody is either confused or lying.

I think it's you, and it's "confused". Michelle specifically said based on ACTIONS, and if you go to the NumbersUSA web site, and look for the rankings based on ACTIONS in office, Romney (GOOD) ranks higher than Thompson (fair).

On their three "promises" criteria, Thompson (Excellent) beats Romney (fair) on "no amnesty", they are equal on stopping illegal immigration, but THompson beats Romney on stopping LEGAL immigration (remember NumbersUSA was organized to stop legal immigration).

On their specific issues related to legal immigrants, Thompson is much better than Romney.

but on the issues associated with ILLEGAL immigration, Romney actually comes out ahead, with 5 excellents, 2 goods, and 1 poor, while Thompson has 4 excellents, 3 goods, and 1 poor.

Other than legal immigration, they actually look pretty much alike, except on actual records.

I think you are again confused.

Romney permitted sanctuary cities, encouraged illegal
aliens to flock to MA, then gave them socialized medicine.
He continued his sanctuary mansion in Belmont until
CAUGHT by the Boston Globe, twice over 2 years.
