Did Romney give him some Franklins?
Mitt must have promised him something should he win. Ann Coulter last night said she figures the race will end up Romney v Hillary.

Tanc appears to have bought into the mythical electability beast.
This question was asked of Tanc in the presser, it was about the 2nd question.
The guy asking it had interviewed Tanc several times he said.
Tanc responded that Romney had basically said the right things in their conversations with each other.
I’m was disappointed to see him support Romney.
I think Tanc’s supporters that were there seemed not excited about it either.
I was just there as an observer of the process really...
Duncan's at the same place in the polls as Tanc. Even if everyone supporting Tanc switched to Duncan, Duncan would still be in the low single digits. Don't get me wrong, I like Duncan, but I think Tanc is trying to sway opinion toward the candidate he likes best among the top three.
Why not Fred? Same reason, though it's less extreme. Fred may still have an outside chance. However, I don't think Tanc's endorsement of Romney will really hurt Fred's chances. People who support Tanc are going to have to hold their noses to vote for Romney. They aren't likely voting for him because they like him, but because they like his closest opponents less. If Fred starts looking viable again, I think most of the people supporting Tanc will switch to Fred on their own.
Romney the robot probably agreed to pay off Tancredo’s campaign debt.
Why you bunch of whiny wimps knocking one of the few conservatives that has genuine integrity. Just because he doesn’t endorse your particular candidate he’s been bought off. Low lifes.
This shows how disengenuous is the slamming of Romney, for his past positions.
Five months is an awful long time for Romney to hold a position. Romney has probably flipped or flopped over to Tancredo's position. Hard to tell where he will be in five more months.
Hah! I was looking forward to Tancredo coming out for Fred Thompson and was sure he would.
Then, I was going to consider his support important.
HOWEVER, since he (very oddly) gave his support to Romney, I now declare that his support didn’t amount to much as it only would affect 14 people in the world.
This is the oddest endorsement yet...though Pat Robertson going for Rudy was pretty amazing.
I just don’t get it- Tancredo really seems to have integrity and I expected him to go for Hunter or Thompson. This is not a condemnation of Mitt- I just don’t see him on the same page as Tancredo.

Because Bay Buchanan, a chief Tancredo supporter, is an apostate catholic turned mormon. Mormon hate Huckabee, so the best way to stick to Huckabee is to endorse Romney. Logically, Tancredo’s endorsement should have gone to Thompson who is closest to Tancredo on immigration.
Oh, don’t let the talk about Thompson not being a top tier obscure the action. This was a mormon attack on a Baptist.

Esoteric Republican presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo made an offer to a fellow Republican (and it wasn’t newly minted Sox fan Rudy Giuliani):
[Tancredo’s] campaign called ABC News to issue this challenge: The Colorado congressman will drop out of the race if the Rockies lose the World Series — if rival Mitt Romney agrees to pack it in if the Red Sox lose.
“Ok, what has changed since the 27 of July? Tanc was railing againest Romney over amnesty and now he endorses him???? Why not Duncan or Fred????”
I’m afraid to think how weird this primary is going to get before it’s over.
Last week there was a group that did a ‘Christian’ survey of the candidates. They really came down on Mormonism and just very nasty about Romney (over the top, uncalled for). Tancredo refused to finish their survey because of it and wrote them that it was unfair and uncalled for. So either he was already on board with Romney or he perhaps he took a chance on Romney because of all the uncalled for religion snipping.
In other words, I haven’t got a clue!!
Why not Fred for the same reason it's illogical for him to endorse Romney. Fred Thompson supported amnesty prior to his "road to Des Moines" conversion on the issue and Tanc called him on it. For him to endorse Fred now would look just as awkward as his endorsement for Romney.
