Then patronize establishments that don’t permit it, as opposed to supporting government intrusion on private business decisions.

New York state copied the Delaware law in regard to “enclosed” smoking areas.

How dare you think that people are able to make decisions for themselves like this.
Good lord! What are you thinking!

The anti-smoking fanatics in this country had the foresight to include the 25’ rule in their legislation; thereby eliminating even this extraordinarily submissive option as a possibility.

Good idea, but it wouldn’t help with the 20 feet laws they put in effect over here.

You'll smoke in the median and you'll like it. Please make sure to use the crosswalk to avoid a jaywalking ticket.

it may be sad, but if I for one prefer not to have to smell it or breathe it in

It may be sad, but I for one, prefer you to pound sand.

you’re rude

Why, thank you.

What would you call people who seek to criminalize a legal activity that has been a part of routine socialization for centuries?

That is ridiculous ! Here in Colorado Springs, there is one bar that built a "temp" structure for the smokers to use. I am a non-smoker and prefer to go into a place where I don't walk out smelling like a chimney but there is also the issue of the business owners rights to run his business as he see fits. The "temp" structure is one hell of a good compromise. Smokers have a place to go and be protected from the elements and at the same time, I can walk in and leave without smelling like smoke.

n New York state an outside designated smoking area cannot legally even have a roof or walls to protect smokers from the elements. That is beyond the scope of “protecting” non-smokers - it is mean spirited and calculated to make smokers as uncomfortable as possible. Most places upstate ignore the law.

Sure to be very popular in gay bars.

You asked for it. Now just quit asking for it and you won’t get it.

That’s being a bit too charitable, in my opinion.
