.... I would probably sit out the general election. I know that he is correct on the abortion issue, but that is about it. Plus, I just don't trust him. He would be the Republican Jimmy Carter, and I am sure there are alot of dems who regret voting for Carter.
The Huckster, or Mrs. Clinton? What a nightmare choice.
The red flags are all there.
If Clinton wins the Democratic nomination, will you still sit out?
I’m in Rudy’s corner but if he doesn’t win the nomination, I will support whomever is nominated.
I think we are left with the hope of a brokered convention, with a suboptimal Thompson as the next best choice. I’m voting Hunter but I don’t see how he can catch fire without money at this point. The elites froze him out of the money and media attention and they apparently make our decisions for us since so few are able to become informed on their own.
That would be an incredibly hard decision, but I would have to go with the Republican.
Hopefully, it will not come to that.
Huckster is exactly that, he is using his position as a pastor to pander for votes.
I guess we all have our, ‘I’ll sit home if...’ candidate. Mine is Guilianni, and I really don’t want to vote for McCain. Isn’t it crappy when conservatives have to think like this?
If it’s considered sticking with conservative principles to vote 3rd party if Rooty/McPain or any other “RINO” is the nominee then the same should hold true for Mr. Jesus Juice.
Any Republican who votes for Giuliani needs to apologize to Bill Clinton.
Any Republican who votes for Romney needs to apologize to John Kerry.
Any Republican who votes for Thompson needs to apologize to NO ONE.
I’m feeling the same way. I just don’t trust the guy.
Folks, here’s a new flash, Thomspons’s not even going to become my Homeowner’s Associate president, it’s time to get over it ...
I would regret, even more, sitting it out only to live through another Clinton presidency. Can one vote make a difference? Only if one million others follow this asinine way of thinking. Not even one million, half that. Certainly possible in a country this size.
Why not just throw in the towel now and go to work on Hill's campaign?
I’m disenchanted with the choices this year, but will vote for Huckabee — or any other Republican — versus any Democrat.
..."there is a kind of democratic politesse in America, and it has served us well, in which we are happy to profess our faith but don't really hit people over the head with its symbols...I wound up thinking this: That guy is using the cross so I'll like him. That doesn't tell me what he thinks of Jesus, but it does tell me what he thinks of me. He thinks I'm dim. He thinks I will associate my savior with his candidacy. Bleh. "
..."Mr. Huckabee is clever. He puts forth his policies, such as they are, based on a faith-based understanding of public policy, and if you disagree with his policies, or take a hard shot at them, or at him, he suggests the reason is that you look down on evangelicals."
The Other Flip/flopper from MA does not shy away from a bare knuckle brawl, even if he is for "family values."
After preaching unity for months on this site I’m seriously having doubts about my ability to support the Floating Cross. I’ll have to wait and see. I just can’t believe the GOP would be so foolish as to send this guy forward. If so, we aren’t called the stupid party for nothing... Especially after months and months of trashing Rudy, Romney and McCain for being “too liberal”, Huckabee gets the nomination? What is this bizaro world? Damn that ironic justice.
*Yawn*
Wake me when a vote is actually cast. In the mean time, keep shilling for your snake-oil salesman.
Huckster, I’d hold my nose and vote for, though not happily. I originally had Giuliani and McStain as my “no way in hell” candidates, but I may have to take Captain Queeg off that list just because he’s right on at least one thing, the war. Giuliani is just too liberal on too many things for me to support. I’m a Hunter or Thompson supporter, but I could also vote for Romney in the general.
