1. If the 2008 Republican presidential caucus were held today between Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, Duncan Hunter, John McCain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Tom Tancredo, and Fred Thompson, for whom would you vote? (Republicans Only; Names Rotated) Mike Huckabee 31% Mitt Romney 25% Fred Thompson 16% John McCain 8%

600 likely (by their model, at least) voters, MOE 4.5.
Survey taken Dec 16-18, which means the King endorsement may be reflected in Thompson’s numbers, but not completely, as it came out on the 17th and many folks might not have heard about it until the 18th or later. (Rule of thumb, from what I gather, is that events often take 3 to 4 days to really show up in polls).
Mason Dixon is the Gold standard of state polling. I’d love to see a current one from them.
There is only one poll that counts and it is still yet to come.
You are a DNC plant....
Mitt is a Conservative damn it....
Just look at him, isn’t he just a handsome figure of a man.
Only a real conservative looks that good.
From what I understand (which isn't much) Iowa usually hinges on who has the best organization. From everything I have read, that person is Mitt.
My greatest hope is that it isn't Huck.
I cannot divulge. I am trying to network to find someone who is close to the campaign. I know a few people in Knoxville who are close to people who are close to the campaign. But sometimes that isn't enough. You need to find just the right person that has his ear. Or a person close to that person.
Yeah, but your answer can’t be represented as a show of hands.

WARNING: If you want to be added to this list, this ping list is EXTREMELY active.
And I'm going to laugh my ass off when Ron Paul's minions flood into NH and vote in their open primary, handing NH to Paul and invalidating the state.
The problem is it could be anyone of them...
I of course think it will be Fred, or at least he will be where he needs to be, but it is the damnedest thing I every have seen.
With what Mitt spent it should be over by now. Rudy had it in the bag, and Huck, well damn, just damn, it, well I can think of a term for it, I just shake my head....
The blimp will be the key....
Due to my pro-life views, the only 2 candidates I can fervently support (that have any chance at this point) are Huckabee and Thompson.
Here is a question - if Huckabee were to be taken out by Romney’s attack machine, where do his voters go? To Romney? To Guiliani? To McCain? No, they go to the only other pro-life, pro-marriage Republican left in the race, Thopmson. That is, if he is still around by that time.
hopeful thinking bump
By these #’s, Fred’s been gaining as Rudy has been losing. I think there are 3 groups of Rudy supporters:
1) those who are looking for a strong leader and communicator,
2) those who are socially moderate, and
3) NYers who are grateful for what Rudy did to restore order there.
Fred’s a natural heir to the #1’s, even-keeled and non-bible-thumping enough for some #2’s, and only here and there positioned well for #3’s. So far Rudy’s the one losing in the polls, and Fred needs to pick up at least some of that.
I am surprised you can’t remember Kerry’s words. He was so inspiring. :-)
[I am sorry I cannot have any part in this terrible plot to attempt to destroy the one man who is pretty enough to beat Hillary...]
Not just Pretty enough, but the man is a God!
-My blood was starting to boil until I saw who was posting.
I just found out Fred Thompson used to date singer Lorrie Morgan.
She says she still loves the guy.
If the guy can date all these babes, and marry a babe - he can do anything!
Did I see the FOX News/whatever poll had Fred only 9 pts. behind Huckabee?
