Exactly. Which means I won’t vote for a lying, greedy man who will bring shame on Christianity.

Wesley Clark would have killed Bush

That right there is the funniest thing I've read on FR in over nine years!

I’d say the REPUBLICAN wing of the Republican party doesn’t like Huckabee.

For good reason. Good on abortion and guns, bad on everything else ...
http://travismonitor.blogspot.com/2007/12/huckabees-arkansas-betrayal.html

His record in Arkansas reveals that he despises conservatives and their principles on taxation, spending, and illegal immigration. According to Arkansas Eagle Forum President Betsy Hagan and former Republican state senator Peggy Jeffries, once he gained power in the Governor’s office with the support of the conservatives, he alienated his conservative based, and at one point referred to them as the Shiites in the Republican Party. Hagan was a key backer and number one fan of Huckabee’s early political career. But to her dismay, Huckabee did not practice what he preached. “He was pro-life and pro-gun, but otherwise a liberal,” she says. “Just like Bill Clinton, he will charm you, but don’t be surprised if he takes a completely different turn in office.”2 It is little wonder that Huckabee’s strongest opponents are in the ranks of Arkansas conservatives. He may have fooled them once, but they will not be fooled again. And they do not want their fellow conservatives to be fooled.

Phyllis Schlafly, president of the national Eagle Forum, is even more blunt. “He destroyed the conservative movement in Arkansas, and left the Republican Party a shambles,” she says.2 “

A wasted nuke. We can take over the whole place WITHOUT Mecca and Medina, and the airports where they tote in the pilgrims, and pump the oil dry all on our own.

It's not like we can't handle the machiner you know.

Globalists would go crazy with that idea ~ but think they'd let us do ANWR?

Not a chance.

Wonder if the MSM pukes are going to pick up our little side discussion and take it seriously enough to give us some notoriety?

You know how stinking stupid those people are.

And you were right, though he didn’t get the full 75% it appears.

Right about the spiritual vacuum, but can it be filled with cornpone? Christianity is under the worst attack it has suffered in a couple of hundred years. What is this preacher going to do about it? Is he an “edge pastor,” or Mencken’s old “hedge pastor?” It’s hard to tell. Will real spiritual leadership emerge?

Nominate judges to the courts that end the assault on religious freedom and Roe vs. Wade. Use the bully pulpit to promote the right to life for the unborn and traditional marriage.

The only candidate even remotely addressing the crisis of the American spirit - and that's what it is - is Mike Huckabee.

Remember the last time we had a holier-than-thou President who was clueless when it came to dealing with the Real World?

I am not sure Rush likes him now.. if you heard Rush this morning on his radio show he spoke about an incident over the holidays regarding Huckabee and some email and without going into it all, as I am sure others here may have spoken about it already, it sounds to me like Rush caught Huckabee in a lie when he mentioned he ( Huck) didn’t know who said what etc but when he sent this email to Rush 4 days had past and the fact the Huck said he didn’t know how to get hold of Rush which Rush said was not the case..so if Rush liked him at one time personally though disagrees with him politically, it may not be the case now. Just a thought.

I am in CA and I think we had a push poll call..not sure and was by the caller’s own account way too early to make this kind of call. It was all about which candidate did we support..I don’t recall who my husband said he favored but the caller went on to say he wanted to talk to me..and continued to call me by my first name which I told him I did not use because I don’t like it...he continued to refer my first name..so I got irritated big time. When I told him who I was leaning toward at that time, he proceeded to tell me I should be support some other GOP candidate ( did I forget to mention it was a GOP caller)..then when the idiot kept calling me by my first name and badgering me about who to vote for, I told the Geezer I’m done..and hung up on him..he was an older guy you could tell by the voice he sounded like he was in his 80s..it was not a young voice say from a college kid. Is that how a push poll works? they ask who you lean toward and then try to talk you out of your candidate for the one they think should win?

It's true that Limbaugh and Drudge aren't commonly thought of as establishment figures. But the truth is that they've now been around long enough to be, well, part of the woodwork. To a discerning observer, they're not part of the chattering class

He says that as if the "chattering class" is a good thing.

LOL

Talking heads on the MSM "chatter" (what a good description of them!) , Rush and Matt shake things up with revelations and shock-items (Drudge) and reasoned discourse sprinkled with wit (Rush.)

And Rush isn't part of the woodwork, he's the building.

And the MSM is retreating into the woodwork.

Goldwater’s carcass has more conservatism in its pinky than Tax Hike Mike had in his whole pre-weight-loss body.
