As a Christian, conservative, gun owner, pickup truck driver, and Harley rider I can not imagine a southern small town preacher in the White House. I would write in a vote for myself first.

"Rush is fine, but he will not make up my mind!"

Read Ann Coulter's latest? She's on the anti-Huckabee list with Will. Also, Fred Thompson doesn't think much of Huckabee. Nor Romney, Tancredo, Hunter, Paul, Keyes, Giuliani, Jim Robinson.

Who's on Huckabees side?

"Don’t lump all Christians into the idiot crowd just because this guy seems to be doing well for now."

I liked the guy on here who said if you didn't support the corn shucker you had to be anti-Christian. He claimed it was wrong for Huck-a-buck to lie about his theology degree but "only did it because he thought he could get away with it."

Okay, got it.

When I read the screeds on the board, they represent the opinions of more than Iowans...so I'm inclined to use my example in the general... not the primaries.

IOW, how would the religious right affect him vs. Hillary.

If he gets 75% of the evangelicals nationwide does he win?

Supposedly some dems have endorsed him and cited his achievements.

Ulterior motives? Not when you read why they like him.

And that only tells me to expect some Reagan Blue Dogs to crossover.

I wonder if the venom toward Huckabee would subside if he finishes in the money. They're Harrieting him big time.

After all, if he wins the nomination, that will kind of disspell the ‘boring, lazy, unelectable’ argument.

I don't think that will dispell that argument. We Republicans, while being correct on the issues (at the base level), have the habit of nominating some poor choices for president. We nominated Bush one who turned out to be a one-term flop, then we nominated Bob Dole (his style reminds me of Hunter, although Hunter is better on the issues), then we nominated Bush II who has been miraculously elected twice (and only won reelection because, fortunately, the democrats foolishly nominated an idiot like Kerry; Wesley Clark would have killed Bush). So Fred winning the nomination would not mean much except that Bush has so divided our party that we can't seem to get an all-around great candidate to run.

Romney has some truths behind what he is says. Clinton had no truths whatsoever behind his statements. I disagree with your opinion.

I realize you are on a crusade to tear down the Republican candidate of the day who best threatens your candidate. So if your man does not get the nod what are you going to do?

"It's true that Limbaugh and Drudge aren't commonly thought of as establishment figures. But the truth is that they've now been around long enough to be, well, part of the woodwork."

Wrong. Rush has been around long enough to be part of the foundation. Steven Stark is only part of the termite droppings.

Yup, time to just move in and take Canada away from the Brits and French ~ make it our own.

Then, move the border South 60 miles and save all the costs of building that fence ~ oh, yeah, gotta' move the residents out of there too ~ the ones that are left, and send 'em back to wherever.

The Globalists wouldn't like that at all, but I guarantee it'd change the nature of world affairs.

What ya' say?

Wesley Clark would have killed half the people in the country ~ they'd been puking their guts out if he'd been the actual Dem candidate.

It's been pretty obvious for a long time that the Dems have become a minority party and have no good candidates.

In the last election they actually used cast off Republicans as candidates.

Huckabee has surged because he won a couple of debates and he’s got evangelical support. If a quick rise can happen to the liberal pro-life evangelical Huckster, it can happen to the conservative pro-life evangelical Hunter.

.

.

.

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

Romney has some truths behind what he is says.

Why flip-flopped finally to some positions that are right?

Can you name one position that he has been consistent on in the past five years?

Literally, almost everything you oppose, he likely supported just a few years ago.

Romney, like Clinton, will destroy everything he associates with.

The Huckster can add my name to his list of enemies!

Add me to the list!

It is my belief that the news media is pushing him as a candidate to destroy the Republican Party's chances in the General election. They want the "broom jockey" and will do anything to secure the Presidency for her.

I like your thinking, but the first thing I think we have to do is move through Congress and the White House to take it away from the traitors. Then it's on through the judiciary to rid it of the liberals in there. Once that's done we can do as you suggest, but.........then, for dessert can we lob a nuke on Mecca? LOL I know, I'm dreaming. ;o)

There will be a disproportionate turnout of evangelicals in Iowa...and Huckster doesn't need close to 51% to finish first there. He gets 75% of the evangelical turnout, he wins Iowa.

Pat Robertson won Iowa. Really! He did. And that was pretty much the end of his campaign. I expect perhaps a bit more from the Huckster, but not much.

Rush’s job isn’t to tell us how to vote, and he’d be the first to say that, I’m sure.

His job is to tell us what the DBM is hiding from us, and he does a damn good job doing that.

If, while doing his main job, he voices his opinions on the candidates, that’s fine with me.

And regarding Huckabee, I happen to agree with him.
