What do I want for Christmas? I want a package that would keep on giving for the next 4-8 years. It would be a conservative package. It would be a Fred Thompson/Duncan Hunter package. Or it would be a Duncan Hunter/Fred Thompson package.

Anyone else see this as a winning combo?

Can Fred get the nomination? Duncan has great qualities, but can’t seem to get into the top tier.

I don’t know if it’s a winning combo, but it IS a combo I would love to see!

Can Fred get the nomination? If he doesn't, it's "business as usual" in Washington....again.
That would make for a formidable team however that is of course the decision of the nominee to make.

I’m just curious, but in the article it talks about wanting to know the vp choices and how that plays into our voting. Anyone want to comment on that?
I think knowing ahead of time is great. But when both are presidential candidates it would take sacrifice on a candidate to say okay..I’ll be your running mate.
But, is it important? Just curious.
To: Randy Larsen
that would be like the “Pro Bowl” of real republicans.
a sure cure for the RINOvirus.

It would be a winning combo for the USA.
But not for the Republicans.

"...winning combination"
Of course it is - but the RNC and party/media movers and shakers wouldn't stand for it.
We're going to get a pair of RINOs whether you or I like it or not.
I don't know if it is a death wish, planning for the great Norte Americano union (junion?), or simple fear of being taken seriously as a conservative party;
But it's going to be between the anointed three with VP up for grabs - and I wouldn't be surprised to see Joe Lieberman in that role.

I would be thrilled if either one is nominated and wins in November. Ping.

Dems worst nightmare. Thompson/Hunter
A Thompson/Hunter teams worse nightmare would be the liberal biased MSM.
Not insurmountable however.
