ARG isn't the greatest poll, but useful for trends.

Mitt up 4%.
Huckabee down 5%. The Huckabust has begun!
Giuliani hanging around.
Ron Paul in double digits.
McCain unsurging 3%
Hunter registering at 2%.
For Thompson not so good.

The Huckabee Boys need to break out those blue and white stripped “shirts” in order to get another bump in the poles.

Yes, poles as in circus tent poles.

Those numbers seem really off for Thompson in Iowa. This race is so volatile I am beginning to believe that you cannot know what is really going on from the polls.

Thompson 3%. lol.

It was great that Thompson campaigned in Iowa so people had the opportunity to get to know him. It works this way every time.

I guess it is fair to wait the “3% club” to intensify their attacks against Mitt in the coming days. I’m sure DNC provides material.

Freepers are mostly in Thompson’s or Hunter’s corner yet Iowans are highly for Romney, Guillani, and Huckabee. Are Freepers that far off the national thought? If we are this country is headed to the sooey hole.

Apparently part of their determining if one is a likely caucus goer was the logic “if they support Fred they must not be likely”.

Those are some pretty wild swings over a single month. I wonder where it’s going to be when the actual voting takes place.

Now that Thompson is “living in Iowa” and is practically a native son, you’d think his numbers would be much better. I guess the results are just a little slow in coming... :^)

Thompson is ALWAYS way down in ARG polls. Their previous poll had him at 5%, and at 8% in October. They also always show McCain higher than other polls.

My guess is they sample independents higher than other polling groups do.

At this rate, Hunter will be ahead of Thompson by the time the caucuses take place.

Giuliani is at 20%, Huckabee 20%, Romney 17%, and McCain 17%. Among women, Huckabee is at 26%, Romney 26%, and McCain 17%.

The most liberal to the least liberal "Republicans" from top to bottom.

Not a great revelation.

It is hard to believe because Fred Thompson is barely ahead of Alan Keyes and Duncan Hunter and behind Ron Paul. Unless Thompson can win in South Carolina, his campaign is over.

Prophet, Seer & Revelator President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

His disclaimers notwithstanding. If Romney is elected, this is the person that will actually control Romney. Do you really want the "prophet & seer" of mormonisn to control the country? At a minimum he will excerpt great influence. This is every mormon's dream come true. President Kennedy was not a devout Catholic and not controled by the Vatican, while Romney is most definitely a devout Mormon. The LDS in Salt Lake will excerpt great influence. Is Mitt Romney a phoney? No, his is a real deal Mormon - count on it.

Fred putting all his eggs in the Iowa basket looks like it’s turning out like I expected.

Waiting for the Keyes crowd to show up and start in on how his support has doubled.

Polls in Iowa are fine for discussion, but as the 2004 Democratic caucus proved, Iowa caucus polls are never very accurate, especially ten days out. There will be other polls later this week showing completely different numbers.

The McCain List.

McCain holds steady in Iowa (17%, movement within MoE), strengthens core support (up to 83%).
