To me, it is beyond baffling that Duncan Hunter fails to score in the top 6 among conservative Republicans.
My guess is something like this:
Ron Paul 100%
Alan Keyes 100%
John McCain 95%
Rudy Giuilialialialialani 90%
Mike Huckabee 85%
Mitt Romney 80%
Fred Thompson 20%
Duncan Hunter 0%
Show’s to go ya’ who is in charge of the Republican party anymore...
Merry Christmas
Go ahead. Prove my point. Get me banned.
This indicates there is a lag time in these polls as I believe that with each passing day, Huck is perceived as more liberal and is losing support. This is what I see on the ground in Iowa.
Man, Hunter isn’t even on the radar.
Among republicans, only Fred Thompson is seen as less liberal than Mitt Romney, and only 8% see Mitt as Liberal (I think they all post here at FR).
Also, about the same number see Fred as moderate as see Romney as a moderate, and Fred’s and Romney’s Moderate/liberal numbers are only 4 points apart, which may well be in the margin of error, as may be the “liberal” separation of 5% (if the poll is the typical +/- 4, or even +/- 3, Romney could actually be as low as 5% and Fred 6% in the liberal category.
This pretty much puts to bet the idea that Romney is some wild-eyed liberal.
