Just sad to see our leaders and corporate titans selling our country out. If you and your union-thug friends hadn't destroyed the competitiveness of American companies like GM and Ford and Chrysler with $50 per hour labor, guaranteed jobs for life and socialized medicine it wouldn't be happening.
Better get a real job.

While the Revolutionary War was in progress, American merchantmen were already in China. The plan was to open a trade route to China. The plan is still underway, and it is still the best plan on earth.

Learned that the mysterious silent black triangles are indeed space launch platforms. There are three of them and they are in use every day.

Great post.
I hope it is not shelved.
But we seem to be in last stages of empire where bread and circuses matter more than defense of the nation.
Our stuff was great - now is in museums.
China is sadly ascending.

Ummmm . . . i own my own company.
It is non-union.
And for what it is worth, Ford, GM, et al can do whatever they like. They can hire/fire or sign union contracts. They made their choice. Now I drive mine.

Before this graduates to a full blow flame war, can I ask two questions?
Jonathan, was your "Thanks for shopping at Walmart!" meant as bitter irony?
E. Pluribus Unum, was your "Thanks for being a union thug!" directed at Jonathan personally or was it meant as a general comment that high union wages drove manufacturing off shore?

The snide, self-satisfied, condescending creep couldn't tell the truth if his life depended on it.

Many here will live to see a joint Chinese-Russian nuclear attack on the U.S. mainland. Some will not live, at least in any kind of comfort, for very much longer after that.

Although deficient Chinese metallurgy can be a real problem, it wasn’t the problem or main problem in the crash videos. Poor structural design was the problem. Their good engineers and software go to the military and space programs.

...and we chose to shelve the “Dyna-Soar” project way back when. I guess we need to catch up by visiting our own past. We blew it!

We blew it by handing the Space entry over to NASA. HAd the USAF kept the lead, we well have had a permanate base on the moon 2 decades ago.
The X15 was a space capabile aircraft, in the *1960s* it could be considered the first manned suborbital spacecraft ever flown. That was 47 years ago.
