You’re the one doing your exegesis based soley on an English translation rather than the original languages, not me.

I hope the Egyptians are smart enough to stay out of a war of massive retaliation. A few iron bombs on the Aswan Dam would wash the entire nation into the sea. I also hope the Persian people would prevent their suicidal government from taking the rest of the country to hell with them.

Iran's not trying to build a tiny nuclear arsenal. So the real question is, "Will western Europe survive the 'nuclear war'?"

Pride goes before defeat. We need more humility and morality.

IMO, Israel will wait for Iran to build several hundred nukes and go after its real targets. Iran and its friends (Shiite and Sunni) want to conquer the world instead of spending all of their efforts against Israel. The ruse about attacking only Israel is working. Islamist leaders are taking advantage of our pride.

They didn't survive the Romans in 70 AD; why do you think there's a guarantee now?

Israel has 200 nukes which are larger and more powerful than anything Iran can field. Iran could have at most 24 within the next few years. Do the math. Israel would be bloodied. Iran would be erased.

“And merely stating that the events of verses 26 to 31 have not occured is not the same as demonstrating that they have not.”

They have not. Last I checked, the sun has not darkened, and the moon is still giving it’s light and the stars are still in their place. Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah, has not come on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory for ALL to witness.

The anti-Christ will claim to be the messiah on earth before all this happens and will lead many people astray (Rev. 13), which is why Matthew 24 is so relevant today. Get that one wrong (vs.24-25) and a person will follow the false christ and end up in hell.

We survived decades of US, Soviet and Chinese above ground testing. Just don’t eat the snow.

"...That the totalitarian force pitted against freedom wears a religious makes this civil war among mankind all the more difficult to engage. Loving freedom as we do, it seems reprehensible to deliberate against a religion. But this is no ordinary religion as it demands absolute obedience of all to their religion at the cost of freedom itself." [FReeper Backtothestreets]

There is no “Roman” nation. Rome, the Empire and the nation, is gone. Today, there is a city named Roma, but there is no nation. There is an Israel despite the persecutions. Coincidence? I think not.

A reasonable response, and I agree with you on that.

Thanks, I thought so. I don’t give anything this guy says credence.

In the ‘real world’ that kind of error gets your butt FIRED.

Israel is our ally. I hope and think that we would not allow somebody to nuke Israel without immediate nuclear retaliation from the U.S.

But, would Ron Paul or Obama actually do it?

And I don’t wish to receive the fallout here from large nukes detonated above ground.

I would suspect that the Isrealis, not wanting to excessively polute their own backyard in the case of nuclear attack against a beligerant neighbor, has probably kept the yields small, and probably has opted for Neutron-type, enhanced radiation warheads which will not produce much, if any, fallout.

Like us, they know how to build them. Unlike us, they weren't stupid enough to impose a ban on themselves against their use.

These warheads kill living things, have very little in the way of a blastwave, and leave little or no residual radiation.

It is pure speculation on my part as to whether or not they have them, but they would be stupid not to have built a least a few given the proximity of their enemies.
