"WASHINGTON -- While public polls show Mike Huckabee leading Mitt Romney in Iowa, a new survey of an oversized sample shows Huckabee slipping and no longer ahead of Romney.

A private corporate interest commissioned a phone bank survey of 15,000 Iowans who say they will attend Republican presidential caucuses Jan. 3. It showed Romney with 30 percent and Huckabee at 26 percent. Sen. John McCain was third with 12 percent..." Click Here for rest of article.

Smoke under the wing.

I wonder if the hunter costume will be his Dukakis moment.

This is more like a trend line. It will be 6-8 points by Iowa day.
Romney is a very serious candidate for the Oval Office. My candidate Fred, I don’t know. I hope he can make the radar level.

My respect though for Romeny is still growing. He’s a real threat to the Rats.
And for that I’d be grateful.

“My respect though for Romeny is still growing. He’s a real threat to the Rats.”

How did you come to that conclusion?

“Rudy Giuliani fourth at 9 percent. Fred Thompson had only 1 percent”

BS!

Huckabee is the Republican equivalent of Howard Dean. Impressive grass roots funding combined with scary dementia.

A private corporate interest commissioned a phone bank survey ...

And in this survey, Fred Thompson has only 1% of the vote. There is not another reputable survey that has come up with a number like that. I'm just not buying it. So who is behind this "private corporate interest"? What's the agenda?

I’ll vote for Romney if I have to, but right now I don’t have to.

Rudy has my support, and I suspect the majority of GOP primary voters will agree.

Time will tell.

Fred Thompson had only 1 percent” BS!

BS is right. Romney supporters want to discourage FDT's supporters because Romney has a better chance at picking them up. 1% is silly though with Fred in IA and with Steve King campaigning with him. Had to be a push poll. Probably with Fred not listed as a choice whereas 1% "wrote him in". Maybe O'Reilly commissioned it.

Thompson at 1%? Not likely. Behind Ron Paul? Surrrrrrre.

This sounds like a Romney operation.

Think about it....how could you possibly get FIFTEEN THOUSAND GOP caucus goers? There are only going to be 80 or 90 thousand all together. They captured 15 to 20 percent of the ENTIRE POPULATION of voters in their sample?

Wanna bet this "private corporate interest" is headquartered in Utah?

Hank

Huckabee has surged because he won a couple of debates and he’s got evangelical support. If a quick rise can happen to the liberal pro-life evangelical Huckster, it can happen to the conservative pro-life evangelical Hunter.

.

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

In this poll Hunter is up 3% and even with Paul and Thompson.

I bet it is. This thing has Romney's stink all over it. And Novak pushing it makes it smell even worse.
