There are a lot of annoying habits people have, but to say they must ‘keep it at home where it belongs’ is nothing more than selfishness and a ‘my rights are more important than your rights’ statement.

And here's the problem some people have with free societies. If you're society truly is a free one, it is guaranteed that some people are going to do things that you don't like. You either have to live with that, or chuck the free society. I know what my choice is.

Actually that isn't as true as it used to be.

I grew up in Palatine. NW suburban Cook was reliably Republican - right-wing even. Birchers were known to be involved, at least peripherally, in GOP politics. Phil Crane was our Congressman for 30 years.

Now the area's represented by Democrat Melissa Bean, and the execreble Rita Mullins has been mayor of Palatine forever. She's ostensibly a Republican, but she's a gun-grabbing nanny-stater.

Sad, sad, sad.
