Huck's Press Conference (The part Fox News will NEVER show you)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=xb8ssj6sjhE ^ | MrArbitrage123

This is the part of the press conference that has about a snowball's chance in hell of being aired on Fox News.

I know that many here hate Mike Huckabee but I think the common ground we may have is in feeling betrayed by this so-called "fair & balanced" network. After 8 or so years, I have no place for them in my home any longer.

It wouldn't be so bad if this underhanded network at least required their regulars to DISCLOSE their ties and endorsements of specific candidates but NO, they deceive their viwers by passing ofgf their "round tables" as objective experts. In the past year Fox News has engaged in intellectual dishonesty of the most egregious kind and have lowered themselves by utilizing the same underhanded, manipulative psychological tactics as the liberal media.

I am so turned off by the actions of these people that I feel the damage to my perception of them is irreparable. Times are changing.

“Also, it’s very true that you shouldn’t judge another person when it comes to salvation. But if he is running for president, then it is your OBLIGATION to judge whether or not he is a hypocrite and a liar. What happens to him when he goes to meet his Maker is God’s business, not ours. But if he uses preacher talk to run for office, then we have to make it our business—not whether he will be ultimately saved despite his sins, but whether he should be trusted in high public office.”

It is WISE t call a “false Prophet” a FALSE PROPHET and that is what Mike is. Ultimately God decides on his salvation but it is not wrong to call someone what they are. He’s also not qualified or knowledgeable to be President - his aides have said they're boning him up on geopgrapy ... he’s a loose cannon.

"Because I'm taking the high road, I'm not going to criticize my opponents.

This was brilliant. His campaign doesn't have to pay to run the ad, the media will do it for free to show you what happened. This was also an incredibly hypocritical thing for a Christian to do.

Huckabee is a populist, and G-D help us if he is elected!
I don’t know too many folks that will put up with being preached to everyday, but that’s help it’ll ... right before the religious wars start! This guy is very dangerous!

Between 1996-1998 I was “4commonsense”.

And now you're against common sense? That explains it.

I don’t think it was brilliant. It was pretty transparant. The one thing it did do was keep the Huck/Mitt contest the main story of the IA race. It keeps the outliers (McCain, Fred, Paul) off the headlines. He def. knows how to generate news.

It doesn’t bother me any. That’s what teevee is. I prefer John Wayne movies to cable “news.”

Call me nuts, but I am beginning to notice a pattern in many of the posts here in FR to seem to be designed to cause disharmony and resentment between Social-Conservatives (Religious and non-religious) and the 'regular or true’ conservatives' (economics, guns, taxes, state rights, small government, etc)

I have this uneasy feeling that a bunch out there of Republican enemies, it could be a bunch a fags for all I know - are passing themselves for "Economic, personal liberty" conservatives...

You have to agree that these themes would come very handy to the left who would hammer on those themes in order to fight off the Christian/Social conservatives.

I find it very interesting that this 'hard core economic, personal liberties' bunch NEVER MENTION anything on social values. Conveniently?... Rarely anything against the FAGS – Even though we know the danger they represent to our ‘beloved' MILITARY that all groups in FR seem to profess? And this was true, why is it they never voice this concern knowing full well they can't wati to invade the MILITARY so they can it for social engineering? you do know, this will happen if we don't protect them, right?.... BUT DO THEY EVER express this concern anywhere?.... If they do I have never seen it. Same thing with abortion.... it's almost like they do it on purpose in order to exacerbate the division between the groups.

And you could not see this ‘tone’ ore 'mode' of attacks, more pronounced that with Hukabee’s posts. I noticed that this bunch is plainly insulting Christian values, the Bible, and doing it with such hate and venom; I have to wonder if they are doing this on purpose. The more they piss off the Social-conservatives, religious and non-religious, the more likely they will push them toward Huck, This means Fred is done... and yes, I agree, that two things could happen: (a) The Dems could defeat the Reps (I believe this will happen). OR, Hucks’ candidacy will snowball attracting most of social-conservatives and many the 'good' Democrats and Independents, enough to win the election. Now this could very good or very bad if he turns out to be another Carter.

But again my point is, would intelligent, thoughtful, educated, 'true' conservatives would be saying what they are saying about Huck, not knowing that they might be helping out to deepen the division between the two groups? IOW, could they really be that stupid?... Do you know what I mean?

“Or are you only complaining about the one that is just the tiniest bit more conservative than the rest ?”

I called and cancelled my HBO. They asked me why and I told them: All they were showing was gay cowboy movies.

Watching Hannity drool over Giuliani doesn’t strike me as conservative. Not even a little bit. It sorta reminds me of those gay cowboys.

Fox generally don’t show much news either. They have shows with “their” pundits on them with a few recycled and overplayed news clips thrown in. They rarely have photographers & reporters on the ground. Fox charges alot for their propaganda. I don’t need to pay for it.

Just so you know, the only thing I ever watch on PBS is the Red Green show.

My opinion is that we need a true “conservative network” to make things truly “fair & balanced”. For one thing, conservatism is synonymous with being - correct so why do we need a cable news network that includes liberals on every segment?

You think that maybe by having liberals as a counter point that it allows the conservative to refute their false rhetoric?

“I can totally see why you might be a Huckabee supporter.”

I most certainly am not. I respect his religious beliefs and his 2nd amendment record, but he has too many socialist views for me. He is not a conservative.

You're not nuts but you're assessment as to motive may be off. My motive is to ensure -- as you wrote -- that "regular or true conservative' ideals prevail.

I have this uneasy feeling that a bunch out there of Republican enemies, it could be a bunch a fags for all I know - are passing themselves for "Economic, personal liberty" conservatives...

I'm not an enemy and I am hetero. I've been on this forum for four years championing liberty and I make financial contributions to this site and other Republican causes (Club for Growth, Republican Liberty Caucus, etc.). If I am one of the ones you're worried about, your fear is misplaced worrying over my posts.

You have to agree that these themes would come very handy to the left who would hammer on those themes in order to fight off the Christian/Social conservatives.

But if the many SoCons sound an awful lot like the Left in regards to economic matters and matters of liberty, would it really matter all that much?

The more they piss off the Social-conservatives, religious and non-religious, the more likely they will push them toward Huck...

If many SoCons cannot see the big-government trap that they're falling into, someone is going to step it up in order to point it out to them. I feel a sense of obligation.

would intelligent, thoughtful, educated, 'true' conservatives would be saying what they are saying about Huck, not knowing that they might be helping out to deepen the division between the two groups? IOW, could they really be that stupid?... Do you know what I mean?

I know what you mean. But, the two factions have to embrace one another and select a candidate who has cross appeal...like Thompson. If it comes down to Huckabee, I will be holding my nose tightly as I vote for him. The difference is is that many SoCons started this mess by essentially saying that they would not hold their nose if Rudy was the nominee. They (many SoCons) are the ones the ones causing the most divisions. You have to know this!

People say the same things about me — even members of my own family — because they don’t agree with my decisions — because they might not like me personally — or I’m just an easy target because of the way I live my life “on the edge” with my faith sometimes. I still don’t think we have the right to use such harsh words as hypocrite and sepulchers to describe a man of God. God’s word speaks clearly about speaking against the Lord’s annointed. I know — you might not accept that Huck being a pastor makes him “annointed”, but he HAS preached God’s word for many words, and has represented the Lord to many people.

I’m just trying to be more careful about my own degree of judgment over other believers. Maybe it’s one of my “New Year’s resolutions”. I do NOT wish to be judged by the same degree as some people in FR judge OTHERS. Yikes...I’d be a mess!

Democratic Governor Endorses Mike Huckabee

Instead we have conservatives lining up behind Mike Huckabee because he agrees with them on two issues - gay marriage and abortion - neither of which the president can do much about. And all the while they ignore his liberal history as governor of Arkansas. If Huckabee is a real conservative, explain this: Since he's running in the Republican primaries for president, don't expect Mike Huckabee to be advertising the strong endorsement he just got from Ted Strickland, Ohio's Democratic governor.

It seems Mr. Strickland, who typically racked up a 95% rating from the liberal Americans for Democratic Action during his 16 years in Congress, has discovered a kindred spirit in Mr. Huckabee. He told the Cincinnati Enquirer last Sunday that Mr. Huckabee is a "combination of conservative views in some ways, but very, almost liberal views in other ways." Mr. Strickland concluded: "Of all the Republican candidates, Mr. Huckabee would be my personal choice."

NOW,,, THERE SHOULD BE NOT DOUBT IN YOUR MIND....HUCKABEE IS LOVED BY DEMOCRATS.

God save us if he is actually nominated by the Republican party, or should I say "former" Republican party ..if that actually occurs.

YOUR CHOICE                           This                         OR                                   This.

NEITHER IS A PRETTY PICTURE
