I suspect your parents are still alive. As someone who lost a mother at a young age who had a lot of flaws herself, there is no way anyone could ever replace her. Those children will never even reach 20% of what they could have been had their mother stayed alive, as flawed as she may have been. Nothing can replace the love of your mother, and I had a great and understanding step mother. Maybe that is why this case has affected me so much. I know what they children are in for.

If I am authorized by lawful warrant to enter your home, my procedure will be exactly what I stated. I will neutralize any threat with appropriate force. That is the duty and it keeps cops alive. If your home was breached in error, (possible but not deliberate), due process is established for your reparation.
