NASHUA – A top Clinton adviser faces charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated after city police caught him speeding through Greeley Park a day before the state primary.

Sidney Blumenthal, longtime friend and senior adviser to presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y. was allegedly driving a rented car north on Concord Street at a speed of 70 mph when Nashua Police Sgt. Mike Masella decided to stop it at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Blumenthal was arrested after completing the test and taken to the police department where he refused to take a breath test and was booked on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, Masella said.

In New York, where Mrs. Clinton is running for the U.S. Senate, the standard is a more lenient 0.10 percent. "It only takes a split second for a tragedy to occur," she said. Clinton was participating for the fourth year in the Mothers Against Drunk Driving's (MADD) "Tie One on For Safety" campaign, which encourages people to tie a special ribbon on their cars reminding them to choose a designated driver. This is the 14th year MADD has sponsored the campaign.

I have always been suspicious about Sid, and when I saw the time of his arrest, I did a Google search and discovered that Greely Park is frequently used for gay pride events and as a cruising ground for gay sex.

Here is where the irresponsible jerk was pulled over, just so nobody thinks he was driving one of those deserted roads that people routinely break the speed limit on...this is heavily populated, and near a school.

Jeez...do ya think he was within the distance from the school that if they found any...ahem...drugs on him, that it would be a felony?
