THE two self-styled spokesmen of the Muslim community who laid into the Bishop of Rochester did themselves and Islam in Britain no favours.

The Ramadhan Foundation and the Islamic Society of Great Britain claimed again that anyone criticising even the most extreme proponents of the poison that beyond any doubt exists inside the Muslim “umma” in our country is criticising all Muslims. This is simply not true and one suspects these “spokesmen” secretly know it.

Bishop Nazir-Ali of Rochester made absolutely plain that he was referring to the extremists and to suggest no such maniacs exist is ludicrous. We all know they do and sensible, peace-loving Muslims who want to live in harmony with the rest of us know it also.

As far as I’m concerned, September 12 was their absolute last chance. They should have done it in the 70s, when terrorism started spreading. They should have done it in the 80s, after the Marine barracks, the hijackings, the bombings. They should have done it in the 90s, after the first attack on the WTC. They had hundreds of other opportunities, too many to mention.

Now this guy here wants them all to stand together, criticism of the most extreme equals criticism of all. I say, let’s do it. Just make sure the ROE reflect that.

I don't trust Muslims. They are allowed to lie to us...When I see them stop demanding their foot baths, prayer areas & now halal food maybe I will believe they are going to change. Somehow I just don't see it happening. If they can't adapt to us then they don't belong here. Why don't they stand up & say enough is enough? Maybe they are too afraid, I don't know. I do know I resent all their demands!

If criticizing muslim "extremists" is an attack on all muslims, then an extremists attack on non-muslims is an attack by all muslims on non-muslims.

I think that I get your point.

There are soldiers for Islam who will lead, but other muslims ( like women ) will cook and feed the soldiers.

Still other muslims will help with banking, etc.

I believe that should there be a time in this nation when muslim “extremists” do their dirty work in any meaningful quantity, they will be “assisted” by those who profess to be “moderates”. It will be at that time when any and all muslims would be, rightfully, “in play” and self-defense would dictate that we act accordingly.
