GOP contender Duncan Hunter seeks sustenance at Wade's

In town to beef up his undernourished bid

By Sean P. Flynn Published: Wednesday, January 16, 2008 | Updated: 9:21 am

Caption: (Presidential hopeful Duncan Hunter talks to Yvonne Chastain of Inman at Wade's Restaurant, where he had lunch on Tuesday. When Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., dropped by her booth at Wade's Restaurant on Tuesday afternoon, Yvonne Chastain, a hair stylist from Inman, happily accepted one of Hunter's presidential campaign CDs and asked for his autograph.)

The South Carolina Republican presidential primary is days away, but Chastain is still shopping for candidates, still trying to digest all the information she can.

"My mind's going to be open, my heart and my ears, and let God lead me in the right direction," Chastain said. "It's going to be pretty difficult this time around."....

He's broke as a joke and he's spent his limited campaign dollars on CDs. And is giving them to waitresses.

If anyone was wondering why, exactly, he isn't going anywhere, there is a clear symptom of the problem.

Pissant alert!

If you can intervene on every Fred thread, I can at least return the favor.

Thanks, good luck with your candidate. Every one of the supporters of Hunter feel he is the best choice, I disagree.

Thompson may be a long shot but he is the only real conservative choice and he's not 1,000 to one.

Freegards.

This is the most frustrating race for me. I had never even heard of Duncan Hunter until a year ago. And I’m from Southern California. Someone called in to Medved saying Duncan was the best candidate, and Medved did his little condescending thing to him.

I looked up Hunter, and agreed with virtually everything he stands for. I’ve sent him money, and still tell everyone I talk to about him when we talk politics. It seems the talk show posse decided they didn’t like him a long time ago, and sealed his fate. It seems he only reason Huckabee came alive was that he started preaching, and a lot of gullible evengelical (not all evangelicals are gullible) got excited. , despite the talk show posse ignoring him.

Wonder where I can get one of those CDs...I know plenty of folks who’d be more than happy to hear more from Hunter!

Why is he bothering with waitresses? Do their votes count as much as important people’s votes?

GOP contender?

If he is so fiscally conservative, why is he traveling on my matching funds?

LOL. You'd have to ask an "important" candidate about that.
