Hunter was the first campaign contribution I made this go-round, I also supported Tanc...they’re both out now.
I have been a big Fred supporter....guess I’m just too conservative for the process this time around.
I am not disappointed with any of these three...I am disappointed with the resuts of our “conservative bretheren’s” primary voting habits.

Thanks WalterSkinner, a fine tribute indeed.

Thank You Duncan Hunter, you deserve so much more.

And a big thank you to all you Hunter folks out there. Though the outlook is terribly grim, it does my heart good to know there are so many fine patriots here. I consider myself to be in the very best of company!

VOTE CONSERVATIVE!

I only have a limited list, so I know I am missing a lot of fine folks, but THANKS! to all of you for supporting Duncan Hunter.

Whatever happens in our future, we will know we fought the good fight.

I don’t think Duncan Hunter is going away. I’m sure we will still be hearing from him, and he will continue to keep everybody honest.

And so will his son, Duncan P. Hunter, when he runs for congressman for his dad’s congressional seat.

Let’s not forget to support him, too.

May God bless all of you!

Thanks for everything, Cal.

Congressman Duncan Hunter returns to San Diego tonight,
Saturday January 19, 2008
Media Opportunity at 8:00 PM (PST)
Broadway Pier at the end of Broadway St, San Diego

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 19, 2008

CONTACT: Gary Becks (619) 334-1655, garybecks@yahoo.com
San Diego, Calif.

We started this campaign a year ago right here, in San Diego Harbor, against the backdrop of American Naval power. We launched a campaign emphasizing a strong national defense, enforceable borders and restoring the industrial base of America.

Today we end this campaign. The Nevada caucuses reflecting only 2% of the vote for me. I ran the campaign exactly the way I wanted to, and at this point not being able to gain traction in conservative states of Nevada and South Carolina, it’s time to allow our volunteers and supporters to focus on the campaigns that remain viable.
It’s time for me to gear up for 2008’s defense bill that will be put together over the coming weeks. There is work to be done in the areas of troop protection and new capabilities to be deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. And over the horizon, the emergence of Communist China as a military super power will require a new emphasis on U.S. capabilities in undersea warfare, space, and long range air-power.

The best way to maintain a new era of peace is for the U.S. to remain strong. Over the coming year I will endeavor to help craft a defense bill that meets the new security challenges.

Since our campaign began over 200,000 additional manufacturing jobs have been lost. 1.8 million jobs have left the U.S. for China. This fracturing of the U.S. industrial base is a long term threat to America. I hope that the remaining candidates will recognize it and address it. As the senior Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, I will seek to address it.

Only hours ago a border patrolman was killed in the California Desert. This tragedy emphasizes more than ever the compelling case for the completion of the border fence. Since I wrote the bill that mandates 854 miles of double border fence only a few miles have been constructed. Over the next year in Congress I will do everything in my power to get that fence built.

Finally, for Lynn and me, the campaign over the last year has shown us this: America is a wonderful country. Our people have great character and goodness, and the meeting of new friends has enriched our lives.

The failure of our campaign to gain traction is mine and mine alone. But we have driven the issues of national security, the border fence, the emergence of China and the need to reverse bad trade policy. Because of that, this campaign has been very worthwhile, and for the Hunter family, a lot of fun.

To our friends and supporters and volunteers: many thanks. And now it’s time for me to focus on developing a 2008 defense bill that serves our troops and our nation.
Thanks, and God Bless America.

Duncan Hunter

“Q&A: Republican Presidential Candidate Duncan Hunter
CBS ^ | 10/22/07 | Duncan Hunter/Brian Montopoli

In Florida for the Republican debate we caught up with Congressman Duncan Hunter and chatted about conservative support and why he thinks the party won’t nominate someone who isn’t pro-life.

Rep. Duncan Hunter: Well I let all the other candidates talk about their credentials and their backgrounds and their plans for the country. But I have made the point that I’ve been consistently pro-life. I believe that’s a very important part of the Republican Party, a cornerstone of our party, and a strong part of my belief. And that I strongly support the traditional marriage.

And as a member of the Armed Services Committee, until this year the chairman of that committee, I’ve worked hard to make sure that we don’t have abortions in military hospitals. That we do not allow open homosexuals to serve in the armed forces. That we don’t inhibit our chaplains from praying according to their own conscious...So I’ve had fairly strong positions with respect to social issues the last 26 years and I haven’t changed those positions.”

One minor correction....The Marine is Duncan D. Hunter.

My future contributions will go to him. The RINO party can keep sending me requests and I'll keep sending them these:

I’m not discouraged at all because I know Hunter will return in one form or another. He’s inspired me to fight the RINOs even harder and I’ll continue to do so against all odds.

“Our poor dear country, at the hands of rinos and dems.”

Exactly. I’m in tears. Who on earth will I vote for now?

I’m a brand new Citizen as of Dec. 14, 2007, and I was so excited and proud to cast my very first vote ever, for Duncan Hunter in the Jan. 8th NH Primary. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

GOD BLESS DUNCAN HUNTER.

“It has been a privilege to fight along side with fine young people as yourself—God bless you...”

Same from me.

May God bless Duncan Hunter and his family.

Still, we are gonna need to stay in touch-perhaps under a list with a new name.

Not much to say but dang.

I don’t like how what the final runners on both tickets are shaking out to be.

If Hillary ends up in the WH I am going to truly believe it has all been a sham (the elections since) Bush/CLinton/Clinton/Bush/Bush..
