The Chinese are decades away at this rate (1 mission every 2 to 3 years). The Russians have the technology and the knowledge, but don’t have the money (their half of the ISS is on life support as it is). Look at India to come from behind and take the grand prize. Everyone else will be staring at their shoes wondering what went wrong.
The Indians have had strong interest in space exploration for a long time. They will do it when they are able.
Its probably changed a whole lot since then.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! Great post. :)
Sounds like Rudy's approach is to push for the US to get out front again on these issues instead of cooperating with the UN or Russia. If so, I'm all for it.
I am no political fan of Rudy, and pandering is likely sure.
But he is right.
And yes, cooperating with damn russians caused us many problems. Massive delays and cost over runs on the space station.
The Clinton admin wanted Russian scientists to work on space and not weapons. They used NASA for as a political plaything and forieng policy tool.
Not to mention GoreSat, that still remains unflown to this day.
Rudy Giuliani (wants voters to think he) managed to spend all his campaign money without having actually competed in any of the early primary/caucus states.
The truth is that Rudy spent all his money because he HAS competed in all those states. The number of times Rooty went to New Hampshire to campaign was second only to Romney.
Rudy just CLAIMS he hasn't been competing in all these states because the results have been so dismal. The voters have caught on to Rudy and have rejected him as a candidate.
Although he tries to cast himself as a warrior, he folds, and then cuts and runs each time he feels any competitive pressure. Thus, he chickened out of the Senate race vs. Hillary. More recently, he cut and run in Iowa, New Hampshire, Michigan, and now South Carolina.
He's the gutless warrior. Rudy is a talker, not a fighter. He has to win Florida or he's a goner.
It has nothing to do with PCness.
FR is a forum to advance conservatism. Giuliani is liberal.
Would you also contend it "is not PC to support Obama here?"
LOL. Why does than not surprise me? So typical.
Police Hall of Fame?
Probably Giuliani recommended the Hall of Fame honor Bernie Kerik (Rooty's driver, bodyguard, Police Commissioner, business partner, flopped Homeland nominee, and admitted felon and tax evader----in that order).
Course, Rooty could also have requested they honor the 7-man tax-paid NYPD security detail that got paid to stand around and watch while the married Mayor porked his mistress, Jooty. (/sarc)
A tiny little election year issue.

No Liz, I think it was a misprint.
If Rooty was there is must be the "Hall of Shame"
Heheh----good one.
Well, this will get Rudy votes in Brevard County for sure.
At least put all the NASA management staff in an old Saturn booster and launch it into the sun for us, Rudie.
