A few weeks ago, a student asked Mike Huckabee: “Recent polls show you surging . . . What do you attribute this surge to?”
Without even needing to stop and think of an answer, Huckabee responded: “There's only one explanation for it, and it's not a human one. It's the same power that helped a little boy with two fish and five loaves feed a crowd of 5,000 people . . . And it defies all explanation, it has confounded the pundits. And I'm enjoying every minute of them trying to figure it out, and until they look at it, from a, just experience beyond human, they'll never figure it out . . . That's honestly why it's happening.”

Huckabee is certainly not my first, second or even third choice. But, I would vote for him above Clinton or McCain.
Considering what the criminal illegal aliens are doing to our society, i.e., clogging up publik skools, emergency rooms, flooding the country with cheap methanphetamine and the like, I can classify the criminal illegal invasion as both a social issue and a national defense issue.....and I don't see the Huckster being particularly effective on either front.....of course he does offer a lot of lip service to it.....but what he says depends on who he's talking to and what he does seems to be whatever he deems to be politically expedient at the moment.....

Excuse me, but unless you believe the despicable distortions put out by the Huckabee campaign, Fred Thompson is every bit as strong of a social conservative. In fact, Thompson is the candidate endorsed by the National Right-To-Life association, not Huckabee.
Prayers up for Fred’s mom, and we all know that Fred is the kind of guy that knows family comes first! That is why Fred is with his mom at the hospital. Fred is STILL in the race and he does have the support to carry on! In 12 hours from(9:00PM 1/20 to 9:00AM 1/21) the red truck has earned #2,790. That is $232.50 per hour from nine last night with the Giant/GreenBay game in overtime through the night until nine this morning. Not bad, but I know there would have been more donated if everyone was SURE Fred was staying the course! Also the link to the truck is not easily found and that may have kept more funds from coming in. Lets put more in the truck! We can make it 1.5 mil by midnight tonight! Thompson would win the title except for his failure to support the Marriage Amendment. Thompson is very strong on pro-life.

Populism is always looking for an excuse for the “peoples” failure to get up and go to work, blame the “man”, not the Robot Democrat that put the Marxist in office to throw the monkey wrench into the engine of economic liberty.
You can dislike the man's theology if you wish, but your criticism of his possible ecclesiastical perferences is beyond the pale.

If Huckabee were such a strong conservative on stem cell research, then why did he accept donations from an embryonic stem cell research company?
The Huckabee campaign has made an issue that he is the only candidate supporting a constitutional amendment outlawing gay marriage. Fred Thompson opposes amending the constitution for this because he believes this is the purview of state rights, not that of the federal government.
Nevertheless, Fred is a strong opponent of abortion and gay marriage. He, not Huckabee, has the endorsement of the National Right to Life organization.
That's a very Islamic belief you have there pardner.

There has been lots of warning signs about the slimey huckster....slowly more of the so named religious right are awakening to what a fruad this clown happens to be.
He wont last but will go out with this “ the Republican establisment did this to you...you are being taken advantage of.......pity yourselves...you are the victim....and on and on”. Probably the game plan since day one.
Soon all he will have left is cult like followers.

I don’t disagree with his theology. I’m Southern Baptist. I disagree with his politics, his cloaking of himself with God in regard to his last victory. He’s foul, as I think the great percentage of televangelists are.
