I spoke to one of my Thompson sources.
He's still with his ailing mother. "He's just being a good son."
He has not spoken to any other campaign or any other candidates, nor does he intend to at this time.
He will not endorse, I am told by this source close to Thompson.
I am also told, "he has no interest in a vice presidency or a cabinet position." At an "appropriate time" he will outline his plans for the near future.
This source believes that the race has demonstrated that whatever happens from here on out, the GOP has to stand for consistent conservative policies across the board.
At one point, I asked this source if the attitude was, 'if you can't be Reagan, be Goldwater,' and the source responded, "exactly."
If I were a betting man, I would bet on him departing the race in the not-too-distant future.
“Oh, that changes EVERYTHING! Romney was involved in the Olympics”
You wouldn’t know a good man if he slapped you upside the head. Pointless to continue this discussion. Your Mitt-hatred is too much a barrier for any rational discussion. So talk to yourself from now on. The only person who could probably stand to be around you. Oh, and by the way, your candidate lost. Mine is still in the game. Good luck finding someone to vote for.
What an idiotic comparison!
Yes, thanks for #123, PM
Sheesh ... no one has RSVPed for the debate yet.
“Oh, that changes EVERYTHING! Romney was involved in the Olympics. I get it! Now I feel MUCH better about his pro-abortion, anti-2A, nanny-state policies and record.”
P.S.:
Romney contributed $1 million to the Olympics, and donated the $825,000 salary he earned as President and CEO to charity.
Ok, now go find a mirror and have a hostile conversation with yourself. Enjoy.
Well....all associated disclaimers as to the credibility of any report right now.
Always a wise idea.
;^)
So to avoid criticism from ignorant people, we should nominate someone who overpaid on his taxes?
Sorry. I’d rather let a smart guy who avoids tax to be the nominee, and let him explain why it’s foolish to give the government more money than it’s due.
Translation: If you have EVER disagreed with me in the past, you can NEVER be my friend. Even if you later come around and AGREE with me.
If Romney gets to that stage, we'll know objectively that the other candidates just didn't have what it took. Tearing down winners doesn't make the losers look any better.
Thompson was billed as the electable version of Hunter...not so much.
Duh! If I can see the forrest I pretty sure I see all the trees too. :-)
and on and on. And that will be only one line of attack.
What a lightweight. You haven't heard that line of attack from the Dems before? Republicans have always stood for stealing food from old people, children, and women, according to the Dems.
So what's your solution? Nominate someone that hasn't been in the business world and cut a job to turn around a business? Why not just nominate a Dem, then they won't attack at all.
For me, it’s not about “better”.
It’s about doing what I can to make sure that a RINO doesn’t screw the pooch in my name.
I heard you the first time. Very commendable, but Romney's fiscal skills do nothing to alleviate my distrust of his positions on healthcare, taxes, national defense, federalism, limited government, and the 2A.
If he's the nominee, I'll vote for the guy, as I don't think he'd be as bad as whatever hellspawn the Dims end up running. If he's the nominee, I will pray I am wrong about him, and that he is sincere in the newfound conservatism he claims. At this point, I have severe doubts, and indeed consider him merely the least offensive of the floaters ("icebergs in a barren sea" instead of "turds in a bowl" if you prefer) which all fall woefully short of Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter.
Oh, and by the way, your candidate lost. Mine is still in the game.
Once upon a time, Bob Dole was the last candidate in the game too. Being the last doesn't equate to being the best.
So talk to yourself from now on. The only person who could probably stand to be around you. Good luck finding someone to vote for.
Ok, now go find a mirror and have a hostile conversation with yourself. Enjoy.
From someone who called me a "Mitt-hater," such personal attacks do not reflect well upon you or your candidate.
That's a despicable mindset.
It seems Fred loves his mother a lot more than you love yours.
“such personal attacks do not reflect well upon you or your candidate.”
I’ll stop all attacks on you when you stop calling Mitt Romney a “turd”. It doesn’t reflect well on you.
Sorry you can't understand the difference between an analogy and an insult. Illustrating it (again) isn't worth my time.
“Sorry you can’t understand the difference between an analogy and an insult.”
LOL! Your justification for your insults crack me up. An analogy, hahahahahahahahahaha. That’s funny. The turd analogy. hahahahahahahahahaha.
Call it what you want... For the record, I find most of your posts despicable
Based on your quote, I could not care less what you think of me.
If you had any sense at all, you’d have your post deleted. It makes you look like an ass.
“What a lightweight.”
The best you can do is launch personal attacks??
That’s your case for Mitt??
The solution would be to nominate a conservative...
and not have a battle of the rinos.
