Huck will probably get a position if McCain is elected....not a smart idea for him because McCain is a loser in the general.

I agree, there probably will never be a viable third party, but our choices are Democrat and Democrat! I read way back, around 1960 or so, don’t remember where, but that in about 25 years there would NOT be a 2 party system in the US of A, I believe we are at that point now.

You assume facts not in evidence- that the electorate informs itself and votes for the best possible candidate.

Ain't it the sad truth. The whole country pays for "Oh, I'm voting for so-and-so, he was a war hero" or "He's a uniter not a divider" (puke) or because he plays Fleetwood Mac as his campaign song. Lord help us.

Perhaps because the current R president and the current frontrunner for the next nomination are Democrats on the issue.

I'm afraid you are in for a real eye-opener. Try across the board amnesty for any illegal in the US. It was done in '86...no fines, no waiting in lines, nothing....sign the dotted line and become an American. Neither Bush nor McCain would go for that. With the Dems, it will be a done deal, and we might not even have the votes to filibuster.

Hillary is courting the Hispanic vote to help defeat Obama...if she gets in we are screwed.

Yes it is broken and the American citizens are the ones suffering...

We have no control over fraudulent voting and we dont get to vote for our choice

We are collectively disenfranchized...

Neither have I. But there is a first time for everything. It took Reagan 3 attempts before winning the Pub nomination for Prez. Romney should sit out for the next four years, bolstering his conservative credentials beyond any doubt, and then run again 4 years from now if McCain wins, as he will only be in for 4 years because of age.

If Hillary is the new President, I could see Romney 2012 becoming Reagan 1980.

Each of these candidates have a right to be there. Using your theory I could say if Romney wasn’t in the race their votes would be higher because he’s taking their votes away. If you can’t win on your own, you can’t win.

And that's why Romney has a good chance of being stronger going in to Super Tuesday because Huckabee's true believers will see the charade/deal with McCain and leave in a higher percentage for Romney than stay for Huckabee. Rudy's numbers, depending on the state, don't have as much play as to cancel the Huckabee voters that haven't seen the light or writing on the wall. Advantage McCain by a few points but Romney can make the differance with some ground work, good ads...and luck.

Baloney. Democrats and Independents will vote Democrat in the general election. Count on it.

In two years, you'll wish we had passed this last comprehensive immigration bill because the one that Democrats pass will show you what amnesty and open borders really mean. You can forget border security or any other kind of security for that matter if Hillary/Obama win.

I see no difference between what a McCain will produce and what a HRC or Obama will produce in this regard. Both favor open borders and amnesty. Both are in favor of amnesty for convicted felons. All are opposed to the fence (although they had to pretend to support it to get amnesty). The list goes on and on. After all, it was the McCain/Kennedy bill.

And, all of the relevant open borders folks said at the time that the fence would never get funded. Turns out they were right. So the fence was just a head fake anyway.

Do you have ANY reason to think McCain will be better on this issue than a dem?

Bottom line: the GOP is going to have to have a candidate that appeals to moderate Democrats and Independents across the country to win. Do you REALLY think that is someone like Mitt Romney?

McLame is a liberal RINO and sucks bigtime. Not voting for him and I highly recommend no other conservative Pub votes for this mean, vindictive, little man who stabs his “base” in the party repeatedly in the back at every given opportunity, which is what he will do with vigor should he actually ascend to the Presidency. Fie on him.

You are right about Dems being nervous tonight. And Bubba’s trick about “McCain and Hillary are best buddies” didn’t work either. He was trying to turn conservatives off McCain with that little quip.

I think Bubba is nervous tonight too. He has been courting that Hispanic vote and he is even urging Lou Dobbs to run third party.

Wasn’t Rudy the most electable Republican just six months ago?

If (as it seems likely) McInsane wins the nomination, we’ll be blanketed with Keating 5 stories by the MSM.

“We may have just nominated the most electable Republican candidate that can beat Obamhillary.”

WHAT?! A doddering old man who’s such a lousy speaker he couldn’t inspire a rock to grow moss? A back-stabbing, anti-constitutional blowhard with anger management issues, who’s alienated the conservative base time and time again, past any possible hope of reconciliation? Who, exactly, do you think is going to vote for this jerk? It’s not going to be the left, and it’s not going to be conservatives. Geez, what’s next for our party... Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York and smoking Nazi extraordinaire? Or maybe we just have an “American Idol”-type program, and elect our leaders that way. I’ve got it! Britney for President!

Hmm. Well, she IS more stable than McCain, come to think of it...

It seems to me that those extremists who would allow a Hillary presidency rather than vote for a patriot like John McCain are the true RINOs.

“It’s all about “the family”. That’s what the Marxist’s understood and tried to destroy. If you destroy the nuclear family, you destroy the society.”

Correct. Get the moms away from their children and the NEA has free reign to indoctrinate.
