How do McCain's climate change quotes relate to our seven benchmarks?
Carbon Coalition Blog ^ | October 13, 2007 | General reference

McCain embraces the fight against Global Warming.

John McCain (R-AZ) signs a Carbon Coalition yard sign in Nashua the night before the 2003 NH Presidential Primary.

More on John McCain and his personal fight against "Global" Worming...

"I am committed as President to pursue the efforts to reduce greenhouse gasses immediately. That includes joining Kyoto as long as we have India and China involved. It would not be fair to the planet to say the two largest growing economies who are greenhouse gas emitters are not part of it. Second of all there is a political reality and the American people would not support our engagement, joining in Kyoto without India and China."

You know,Luccianne.com,Free Republic’s major conservative competitor,is much less forgiving on forum protocal violations—many ernest contributors have been banned (myself included).AS we know here, patriotic passion can,at times, carry one away and Freeper moderators seem to understand this.
Though I still like to visit the site—the draconian and arbitrary discipline enforced by Mrs. Goldberg makes her posters somewhat inhibited and their comments so often banal.
No wonder they have to bleg so much.

I never thought I would say this, but, Hillary may be preferable to McCain.

The only reservation is the supreme court picks.

But if Hillary is only going to be there for one term, then she may not be able to replace any constitutionalists with nazis.

Any human who believes man can control climate change is mentally retarded. The sun controls the climates. McCain thinks he can control the sun’s activities?

We are THE unattributed "think tank" of American conservatism and the most talented and inteligent (even if some of us can't spell worth a hoot) amatuer pundits on the planet.

After McCain gets clobbered in the general election he will blame us "right wing extremists" for not supporting him.

It is too bad but he is too old to suffer his humiliation for a long long time.

The sooner he nose dives the sooner we can begin to take back _our_ party.

_Then_ we can start worrying about taking back the White House.

C02 is only one third of one percent of the atmosphere

It's only 0.03 percent. You're way off.

You’re saying 0.03%? As in 0.0003 parts?

Yes. 380 parts per million, which is 0.000380 which is 0.038%.

If you stand back and imagine a 4-year period...with McCain in charge...and toss in Iraq, global warming, the economy, and the budget...its a pretty dismal period to look forward to. I doubt if any Republican would be happy...and we’d all sit out the 2nd election and allow some democrat to easily beat McCain. This is the scenario which leads me to think that a third party guy now...would work. Neither Hillary or McCain really attracts more than 50 percent of the voting public.

“This is the scenario which leads me to think that a third party guy now...would work.”

The problem is you’ve got to start by March 5th to get on the ballot in Texas. And a third party candidate would have to be self-financing; the one who’s currently serious about it is a liberal (Bloomberg). Is there a conservative billionaire who’s willing to run as an independent right now? I don’t know of one.
