As we have prayed for President Bush, we continue to ask You to enlighten the eyes of his understanding, to give him time to study and show himself approved and to have wisdom concerning Your ways of doing and being right. Fulfill his heart’s desire to glorify You in all that he does in this current ministry of being our President, and in being a husband, father, son and friend. He can do all things through You who strengthen him. Send him more of Your word to accomplish these things, Sir.
May Your grace, mercy, might, strength and ability work through and towards our precious military servants. Grant them favor and increase in success. Let Your Word have free course among them.
Father God, we are hungry for an outpouring of Your Spirit here in the United States. We believe that You are working in all the people for whom prayers from Your saints have been made. Thank You for the access to Your goodness on behalf of each one. We agree together for the acceptance of Your salvation for our loved ones, neighbors, co-workers, political leaders, friends and acquaintances. We know You love each one and trust You to convict them and send them Your word for their healing. We bless You for this in the name of Jesus.

Prayers for President Bush and his family.
Dear Lord, we pray for leadership, from You, our President, and from our victorious warriors.
We pray for this nation, that may be entering a dark trial, for Christians throughout this land, and for those lost ones that need Your fire, and Your grace.
Make us strong, Lord, bonded in You, united in faith, uplifting each other.
If there is to be a trial for this nation, let us lead and not follow, let us prepare a way through the darkness toward Your light.
Help each of us to make the right decisions, to bring this nation back to you.
In Your Heavenly Name we pray, Jesus.

When a man or woman commits any sin . . . against the Lord, . . . then he shall confess the sin which he has committed. —Numbers 5:6-7
Researchers at the University of Toronto reported in 2006 that people who are suffering from a guilty conscience experience “a powerful urge to wash themselves.” To study this effect, the researchers asked volunteers to recall past sins. They were then given an opportunity to wash their hands as a symbol of cleansing their conscience. Those who had recalled their sins washed their hands at “twice the rate of study subjects who had not imagined past transgressions.”
The Bible proposes the only effective way of dealing with sin—confession. In the Old Testament, one of the ways the Israelites were supposed to cleanse themselves and maintain purity before God and in their community was by confessing their sins (Num. 5:5-8). To confess means “to speak the same; to agree with; to admit the truth.” When the people confessed to God, they were not telling Him anything He did not already know. But their confession was a demonstration of a change of heart. Refusing to confess their sins allowed sin to take deeper root within their lives and community.
Admitting our sin unlocks the gate so that we can have forgiveness, joy, and peace. If we confess our sins, God is faithful to forgive (1 John 1:9).

persuaded, that neither death; nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
“ Now, soul, is not thy love refreshed? Does not this make thee love
Jesus? Doth not a flight through illimitable plains of the ether of love
inflame thy heart and compel thee to delight thyself in the Lord thy God?
Surely as we meditate on “the love of the Lord,” our hearts burn within
us, and we long to love him more.
