Why Daddy is a Democrat

Daddy is a Democrat because it makes him feel good.

He does not go to work so being a Democrat makes him
feel entitled to the dole check he gets every month
because he pays the price in "caring".

Daddy is a Democrat because he wants to stop global warming
and is willing to vote for economy-destroying measures because
they make him feel needed and important.

You could axe daddy about these things if you knew who he was.

The funny thing is when the kids rebel by going conservative.

I'm in IT and most of the people I work with in my current company are younger than me.

12 years ago, there were a lot of leftover hippies in IT. Now....I wouldn't describe the kids coming in to my place of work as hardcore conservatives, but as Libertarians. I think it's a good thing.

Also - they're a whole lot more socially conservative than I ever was at 20-ish. Far, far more family oriented. That's *definitely* a good thing, IMHO.
