No matter how enthusiastic you are your vote still only counts once.

FoxNews played a big role in developing the “Enthusiasm Gap.”

Your name implies you are a 'Republican'. In your post to me you suggest that I have some sort of 'Personal Platform' and further, suggest that it is at odds with 'The good of the country' and, presumably, the good of the Party.

With all due respect, I ask you to consider the proposition that it is you, and others like you, who may be taking actions that are not in the best interests of the Country or the Party. Frankly I find your insinuations about my positions and the suggestion that they are at odds with the 'Good of the Country' and the Party to be insulting, arrogant and completely unacceptable.

Again, with all the greatest respect, it is my position that it is arrogant, narrow-minded apparatchiks like you appear to be who have constructed this mess and I find it the height of hypocrisy that you, who one in one breath accuses me (And others like me) of personal motives/platforms while in the very next breath ask me (And many others who feel as I do about this) to pitch in to help fix your mess 'For the good of the Country'.

I'm not going to write more because if I do I'll probably step over a line that I do not wish to cross. I only ask that you never again post to me, or any other thinking, dedicated and, yes, Country Loving CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN INDIVIDUAL with the sort of drivel contained in your posts on this thread.

While I am happy to speak only for myself in this matter I am confident that there are very many others, perhaps a majority judging from "Mac's" miserable, minority showing in every Primary he's entered, of the Party you purportedly speak for that share a good part of my views.

You really should apologize.

It is a damned year and for someone to now ask people like us to pitch in ‘For the good of the Country’ is just so much unacceptable BS. Please see my post # 23 on this thread. I need to take a Prozac now before I break my keyboard.

Emotions are nice but you are missing the point.

People are too caught up in their personal agendas, and not looking at what damage Klintons would do to the COUNTRY.

These are not difficult questions.

Will Klintons and Obama surrender to Al Qaida?

Would Mac?

Apologize for what? That I don’t believe I want Klintons running the country because Mac has only 83% Conservative record while I would like it to be 99.99%?

What is NO Alex?

Now they want to surrender to Al Qaida.

Mac Won’t.

At least not before he surrenders to Mexico...Gotta keep those borders open and those Mid Eastern visa's cranking out to keep the terror threat viable, right. I know I go down to the beach every day and scan the horizon for any of those invading 100hp outboard Iranian speed destroyers. We're rule by fear here doncha know.

I think China is just sitting back laughing at us now. They know we have kicked a tarbaby. At least when when Reagan kicked it he had enough sense to extricate us from it...What was it he said? "Mid East Politics are insane."

Word to the idiot neocons and Rockefeller Pubs who believe we can export our brand of democracy to the ME and worldwide at gun point. You failed to take into account the religious factor in the targeted countries in the ME just as you did when you advised Clinton on the Balkins. Republican Democracy is plainly incompatible with a theocratic social order. Especially an Islamic theocracy. Your secular perspective blinders you to this fact...

the primary concern should be the GOOD OF THE COUNTRY and not good of your personal platform.

Sure, it would be good for the country if Bush-41 disn't lose to Clinton in 1992, it would be good for the country if GOP didn't decide to nominate Bob Dole in 1996 trying to win on "liberal, liberal, liberal" Clinton's "bogeyman", it would be good for the country if Bush-41 and Bush-43 could intelligently and passionately explain what the heck they were doing even when they were doing the right thing for the country, instead of using webs ites like FR, blogosphere or talk show hosts to try and interpret it for them; it would be good for the country if GOP elites at this important time didn't once again decided to stick it to their "base" and tried to shut down and defeat conservatives by setting up the process in the way as to help nominating one of the worst and least acceptable candidates in the party on the principle of "where are they going to go now?", ignoring completely what happened in 2006.

If GOP elite doesn't care about what would be good for the country, why do we have to think that by trying to help GOP win, we are doing what would be good for the country, and not what would be good for the GOP elites...

I have LESS than ZERO faith in John McCain doing anything that would be good for the country, and not what would be good for the himself, as he kept proving it vindictively and almost sadistically throughout the years.

And it doesn't make me in the least happy to say this.

He shouldn’t have supported President’s Bush’s plan on that one.

He thought somehow at one point what country will do with 12 million illegals, has to be answered.

To Mac’s credit, he ACKNOWLEDGED that he should have first proved that Border can and will be secured and ONLY THEN address how to tackle the problem of immigrants who are already here.

If he loses, Hillary would set up polling booths in Mexico and Haiti - if she could.

You can’t control past - only future.

There is a War going on - what results do you want to achive? Surrender and retreat or Victory?

Hillobama has made it clear what they want and what they would do.

So has Mac.

I want what Mac wants - kill every single of those bastards.

Go have another glass of Kool Aid.

You say you want a 'Debate' but you lead off with attacks that impugn the motives and beliefs of anyone who challenges your fundamentally flawed premise. For that reason alone, I for one do not wish to debate anything with you.

Further, you tell me I am missing the point and refer to emotions. I submit that it is you who misses the point and I suggest that you actually read some of the other posts on this thread and digest them. There are several that are right on point IMO. And, no, I am not emotional in my posts but I am very displeased with you and your responses.

To the others on this post, please take the time to read this thread. IMO it demonstrates perfectly the mentality that has got us to this point. Arrogant, pathetic and incredibly self destructive.

It was McCain who gave support to Clinton with his mis-adventure in Kosovo and Balkans, which we are still mired in today, and on the wrong side to boot.

McCain's idea of the war is no different than it was 50-some years ago - "put the boots on the ground". His idea of a "surge" would only lead to a lot more casualties on our side and as a result, a real possibility of our withdrawal, forced by overwhelmingly negative public opinion and Congress.

I have LESS than ZERO faith in McCain's understanding of contemporary problems facing the military and how to utilize our troops, or listening to anybody who would disagree with him on military (or any) issue - something he actually accused Rumsfeld of, which as many testified was patently false.

I do not think that McCain would be any good for our military, no matter how much he growls and scowls... I don't want him to do to our military what he has done to several Navy jets years ago.

You have creative imagination.

My attacks.

83% with enough creative logic is worse than 9%.

Lets assume Mac wants Mexicans to move here.

So does Hillary.

Mac Wants to Kill Al Qaida.

Hillary has more important things on her mind like Forced Medical Checkup and Wage Garnishing. Who has time for Al Qaida?

Did Mac ever give away Missle Guidance Technology to hostile Nations?

Did Klintons?

Bingo. You have very effectively deconstructed THE ONLY rationale for any Republican to vote for McCain and have shown it to be as hollow as virtually everything else he purports to stand for.

I agree very strongly with your assessment of his understanding of current military strategies and necessities. Once his vaunted Military prowess is stripped away, this would be Emperor is truly revealed to have no clothes.

Your analysis is flawed to say the least.

First, low Republican turnout is directly because the last straw has been cast on the proverbial camel's back. The betrayal of the party's principles by our leadership, culminating in the immigration fiasco is precisely why there is no turnout and why the RNC's money spigots have gone dry.

There is no "enthusiasm" gap. The Conservatives are very enthusiastically pissed off at the leadership. They stand adamantly against them, and none will galvanize them more than the Traitorous Bastard, the single most hated and distrusted man since Chaffee left the party.

Secondly, McCain, as a Baker moderate, will only be an extension of the same ignoble path that Bush, another Baker moderate, and his father (yet another) have lead us down. To elect McCain would only reward the Baker wing for their infamy by extending their dynasty for the foreseeable future. That is *not* going to happen.

It doesn't matter a bit who the Traitorous Bastard might pick for a VP other than Thompson (who would only raise the ire), simply because there is nothing on earth that removes the stench of having to vote for the Benedict Arnold of Conservatism.

There is no salve to heal the wounds laid upon us by this self same pile of offal and the treasonous wing of the party that whelped him. No balm exists to remove his sneering countenance from before our eyes, nor one that would allow us to accept him as the keeper of our faithfulness as he walks our hallowed halls. He is completely beyond redemption, no matter what vapid promises pass his lying lips.

Thirdly, Bush cannot regain the ground lost with Conservatives any more than the Dixie Chicks can win back the hearts of rednecks. He long ago passed from "hero" to "hell no", and is so far past "OH HELL NO!" that he would be best to just stfu and wander off to KennedysBunkMatePort and go fishing with the old man. The first rule of holes applies in triplicate, and in capital, bold-faced letters.

If there was an ounce of concern for the party and for our troops in the hearts of these greedy power mongers, they would cede their control back to the Conservative wing in every way possible- Both house leaderships and the RNC, not to mention every administrative cabinet position, to give us a chance of straightening out this mess in time to have a shot at election.

But lets not kid ourselves. That isn't going to happen. They think they can pack our various orifices full of sand yet again. After all, where are we going to go?

The only way to dig these cockroaches out of their positions is to crater the party. And I don't mean any old regular crater. This deserves a crater of mythic proportions. An historic event so dire and unprecedented that our grandchildren will still be hearing the echoes pounding down through time. The politicians of that time should run in terror at the thought of being "McCained". Only such an event would give the Traitorous Bastard what he truly deserves. Absolute and utter failure.

Thank you for complimenting my “Creative imagination” whatever that means.

You have selective recall. Re-read your posts to refresh your memory so you can actually understand what I referred to as an attack.

Have fun in November - I will do my best to support true Republicans and you do your best to support Big Mac.

Good night and goodbye.
