I was deployed to Uzbekistan in 2004, visited Samarqand twice. A fascinating part of the world, pretty much cut off from the outside until recently. Uzbeks proudly told me of their cultural connection with Turkey and with Uighur people.

Based on my knowledge of both Islam and Communism, I would say no, not necessarily.
You are correct, however, that most states with majority Muslim populations are socialist.
I attribute it to the fact that most of these states were premodern in terms of culture, economic organization, and infrastructure. A point made by many historians is that socialism is a modernizing force that attempts to rationalize or manage the transition to a modern society.
The problem, as Friedrich Hayek argued, is that change can’t reliably be managed or rationalized. A reasonably free market allows decision-making to be decentralized, and so mistakes in judgment are corrected much more quickly than in a system of central planning.
Your sentiments are those of the majority. The majority of westerners are not informed about their own history due to the lack of adequate historical programming on TV. If you could read a few good books, or rent a few informative videos about the history of ISLAMIC CONQUEST then we might all be safer.

But Turkish-speaking people came here just after 500 AD .
Before 500 AD,Han-Chinese had lived here for almost 700 years.
The great Chinese adventurer,Zhang Qian,”found” the “Easter Turkistan” on about 120BC.Then on 60 BC,Chinese Han-empire set up its rule in “Eastern Turkistan”.
On about 790AD,the last Chinese city in “Eastern Turkistan” fell down.But on about 1750,Chinese Manchus-Empire came back and reconquered it.
Red China just succeeded the heritage of Imperial China in 1949.
In fact,so is the Tibet. Tibet was conquered and controled by Chinese Manchus-Empire in 17-18th century gradually.

it is TianShan Moutain. it extended 2000 KM from Center Asia to Xinjian and its average altitude is about 5000 meters high.
Well there are also millions of Muslims in the USA as well.
It looks as though the Muslims in China have been more westernized than some of those in the USA.
I traveled through China and it looks to me that Urumchi offers more to its citizens than Bejing as far as freedom and clean air and friendly faces.
It does look like Denver, Colorado. Unfortunately, if these “Chinese” get too progressive I can see the Chinese Communist Party coming down on them faster than you can say MAO.

having lived in China for a few years post 911, I can tell you with some certainty that the Chinese government is in complete control.
Sharia law is something the muslims in this area would openly push for if A) they wanted their mosque bulldozed and B) wished to be spirited away in the night. Any hint of terrorist sympathizing would bring the same.
China don’t play. It is a model we should adopt with regards to Islam.

most people in the picture are non-Muslims,I think,because Northern XinJiang,including Urumchi, should be mainly populated by Mandarin-speaking Chinese.
Northern Xinjiang were mainly populated by Mongols 300 years ago. But most Mongols were massacred during Manchus empire’s conquer in mid-18 century.Then it became mainly populated by Mandarin-speaking Chinese.
Turkish-speaking people mostly live in Southern Xinjiang.
Well, that kind of association is a stretch of generalisation. Look at South America, or even the former Soviet republics, including Russia. These were places where Communism originated, at the grassroots-level.
Besides, Saudi Arabia was quite anti-USSR.
Supporting or not supporting Communism boils down to the interests of the key authority in power, in the country in question.
The problem in Europe is the declining birth rate, and the influx of Muslims to make up for it. This is what will lead to Sharia Law in Europe, unless one of those two things changes. Whatever I say about Muslims being "okay", I cannot tolerate Sharia Law.

It's awkward to quote oneself but I did say the above and I believe that must necessarily include the democrat party and it's platform so, no, I won't be voting for hillarama, whichever one gets the party nod.
I’ve been following the developments in China and I see a tilt towards democracy. One important influence is Hong Kong, which has held onto its freedom and exported to the PRC.
Another major influence has been Christianity. Today there are millions more Christians than Communists. Many new Christians do not belong to “official” churches that are controlled by the government, but belong instead to “home” churches that meet in homes, caves, and so forth. It is estimated that Christians in China number about 150 million. Experts estimate that by 2050 China will be a majority Christian nation.
Here is a blog article I did on China. We may see the fall of the CHICOMs within the next ten years and a return to power of the Chinese Nationalists who have a viable party structure on Taiwan and who favor Christianity and democracy.
