It was felt in Midland, ‘cause I felt it.
I can see smoke rising on the horizon.
This is the largest inland refinery in the Unites States.
It is Israeli-owned.
It was the subject of “stake outs” by muslims of middle-eastern descent who were buying cell phones by the dozen for cash at the Wal-Mart in Midland, probably a year or so ago.
Thank goodness no one got hurt. And thank goodness I filled my tank this morning.
It can’t have been that big because no one was killed and they are saying the fire is contained.
Oh crap! I hope that this was an accident and not something that was made to happen.

This is a relatively small refinery. 67,000 Barrels per day.

I am not at all proposing that was the cause. I have run refineries; they blow up without help.
The stake-out, however, is a fact. People were arrested and deported -— big local news.
I am looking at the smoke column from my office windown in Midland.
It was big enough to be felt in Midland.
I remember hearing about that. It made the news up here.
Yes, it is relatively small. It is still the largest INLAND refinery in the United States.
Yeah, a checker at the Wal-Mart (also on I-20, just down the road) just got a bad feeling and called the FBI.
