Good for you. Now, leave the rest of us alone.
Yes: 66%
You live in a Nazi state.
And even though I took up residence in Indiana 24 years ago, I still have to commute and pay state taxes to Illinois.
Adults don’t need keepers and we sure as crap don’t need government busy-bodies trying to dig their filthy little claws into even more of our lives.
Devil take all the would be socialist do-gooders!
That, FRiend, was exactly my point. You want to quit smoking, you find your own reason to do so. I will not support forcing you to do so “for your own good.” You’re presumably an grown-up, you can make your own decisions, and live with the results just as I do. Despite the nanny-staters and do-gooders, this is still America. For what it’s worth, which I know is exactly nothing, I voted to at least make an exception. I’d like to see them repeal the law entirely. You want to keep on smoking, and make your lungs look like a dirty pink sponge, that, too, is your business, and none of mine. And I know that, unlike some other busybodies...
Cheers!

Thanks for the ping!
“The information from is anecdotal. Did your doctors point you to research on second hand smoke?”
It’s not anecdotal. Anecdotal would be if just one person ostensibly developed bladder cancer from exposure to cigarette smoke. But finding carcinogens in the lining of the bladder that are traced to cigarette smoke takes it out of the realm of anecdote and into the realm of reasonable degree of medical certainty.
Go on any web site dealing with bladder cancer and you’ll find the number one risk factor is cigarettes.
I really think many smokers are in denial about what their smoking does to themselves and others. Cigarette smoke is full of carcinogens. That is just a simple fact.
