This is a rush transcript from "Hannity & Colmes," February 15, 2008.
ALAN COLMES, CO-HOST: ...Former vice presidential nominee and McCain supporter, Jack Kemp, penned an open letter to these critics. And he wrote. quote, "you gave them your best shots and he took it like a man. Now as he head toward the nomination, I urge you to continue to be critical but to do so in measured ways that will not damage his ability to win in November." Joining us now to explain further, Jack Kemp, Secretary Kemp, welcome back to "Hannity & Colmes."
COLMES: ... Are the conservatives who are attacking John McCain or differing with him, depending upon which person you're listing to, what the tone is, hurting the Republican party?
KEMP: No. I, you know, eventually, you want them to be on board a McCain campaign, I think the Bible says very clearly who "he who wrestles with us strengthens us." And I think John has been strengthened by going through this. I hope that as you pointed out, in quoting my letter, that the criticisms are measured here as he comes closer to the nomination so that when he does run against Barack or Hillary, he's not weakened to the point where we end up electing somebody who would wave a white flag to Al Qaeda or end up putting Supreme Court justices on the Supreme Court who are to the left of where the American people are.

An open letter to Rush, Sean, Laura, Ann, Mark, et al. by Jack Kemp
I don't think McCain is exactly Churchill, but I think we better make sure that we don't end up with Hillary or Hussein as Commander in Chief -- and the ONLY way to avoid it is to support McCain.
Conservatives stayed home and handed Congress to the Democrats. Are conservatives going to stay home in November and help elect Hillary or Hussein? Looks like if conservatives didn't exist, the Democrats would have to invent them -- they couldn't get elected without them.
Hey Kemp, lay off conservatives.
and Richard Simmons is not Superman....despite the tights.
We are Jack. We’re not voting for him. I’ll vote for other republicans, but not him.
Now, my message to the man.
Jack, Baybee, don't you remember when Denny Hastert, the Republican Speaker of the House, showed decided disinterest in tossing a couple of members and staffers OUT of Congress because of their apparant pedophilic behavior or tolerance of same?
It's not that Conservatives stayed home; rather, it's that Republicans demonstrated that they'd lost any moral basis for getting their votes.
The fact that you've forgotten this suggests that maybe you're soft on pedophiles too ~ or have you got a good reason you'd like to tell us about. You're among friends here, so feel free to speak up.
Then, once we're over that hurdle, maybe you can tell us why your candidate is any good.
VR to Kemp: Kiss off, loser!
So we should all fall in line and behave like the good little drones the country club republicans take us for? We should all shut up and toe the party line? SCREW THAT! McCain is NOT a CONSERVATIVE and McCain WILL NOT get my vote.
Oh, but remember...Jack kemp isn’t a real conservative./ Sarcasm.
List of non-conservatives:
1) Reagan
2) Bush 41
3) Bush 43
4) Kemp
5) Romney
6) Blah, blah blah.
Jack who?
Unless McCain puts in writing that he will not allow illegals any path to citizenship or any other means to remain here legally, that he will appoint judges along the lines of Alito, that he will work to undo the damage done by CFR and disown any other liberal positions he holds he can count on significant number of conservatives staying home.
lolololol good one!
PS. Also remember that conservatives unhappy with Bush I for “not being conservative enouch” who voted for Ross Perot gave us 8 years of Bill Clinton and launched Hillary’s political career.
As I said, the best kept “secret” is that conservatives are the best asset the Democrats have. History proved it, but conservatives still don’t want to learn that the only thing that matters is the CONSEQUENCES of your actions.
(I am not talking about all the sensible, pragmatic conservatives, only those who put their egos and demands ahead of the wellfare, even the survival of the nation, and throw tempertantrums, enabling Democrat victory and Democrat takeover of the US government — all three branches)
Some of the POS political leaders we used to call Republicans should take a flying leap.
Great: No complaining when Reid, Pelosi, and Obama start doing what they promise they will do...
1) Cut and run in Iraq (our soldiers will thank you for staying home, not to mention Al Qaeda)
2) Raise Taxes (small business owners will thank you for staying home)
3) Tax “windfall profits” (consumers will thank you for staying home)
4) Appoint pro abortion judges (the unborn will thank you for staying home)
5) Spend, spend and spend some more (tax payers will thank you for staying home)
Jack French Kemp has a sincerely dear friend in Albert Arnold Gore, Jr., He said so himself in the 1996 V.P. debate!
*snicker*
KISS! Piss on McCain.
