Shame on Verizon, and shame on anyone who would be offended by a display of the U.S. flag.

Well, you can’t decorate the “public” areas of your workplace any old way you want to.

...used to be the old Bell system would cringe at any public relations snafu. Now with all the mergers and deals made between telcoms, they hold tight till it all blows over.
We’ll have to watch how they handle this......

I used to hang things on other people’s cubicles as a joke. They never did figure out who was doing it.

The American flag is not and never has been a mere decoration. This man may have hung it in an inappropriate spot but it is not a mere decoration in any instance.

Just to be clear, if he wasn’t a union member would it be ok to display the flag on his cubicle?

Drivel. The flag is a symbol of freedom, NOT an adornment or embellishment. It may be simple adornment to you. To some of us, it means much more than decoration.
