Stephanopoulos: Will NYT Article Rally Rush, Ingraham to McCain?
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

File under Law of Unintended Consequences . . .

There has been significant speculation in the MSM that an upshot of the NYT's McCain piece could be to rally support for McCain from conservatives like Rush Limbaugh who heretofore have been, shall we say, less than enthusiastic about the Arizona senator.

Typical was this exchange from today's Good Morning America, which followed an appearance by McCain campaign advisor Charlie Black.

Does anyone remember the “rumor” about John Kerry (he was in Viet Nam, you know) having had an affair with a tall blond college student? The MSM mentioned it briefly. The young ladies father even, initially, was quoted as being very upset with Kerry. THEN, the young lady all of a sudden had a new job in South Africa and the her father was very supportive of Kerry. Hmmmmmmmmmm ... Also, Mama T was quoted as saying something along the lines of not divorcing him if he had an affair, but that she would castrate him instead.

We all knew this was going to happen once McCain became the putative Pubbie nominee.

Just wait until the Keating Five is resurrected. I saw references to that on my alumni chat board last night.

If the pro-McCain forces think this will provide the impetus for my voting for McCain, it won't. Like I said, experienced Freepers knew this was coming, and it's just begun.

The relationship between Hil and Huma just begs for an investigation. How come no one is asking exactly what Huma’s role is in Hil’s circle? The silence is deafening. Rarely do you see Hillary without Huma lurking within inches.

I was thinking that they sat on this story for months, then they endorsed him knowing this information. Then they wait for him to get the nod, and then they spring it.

So the editors of the NYT are absolute liars if they endorsed him knowing this information or the editors of the NYT are so stupid that they don’t know what their other side is doing. Which is it? Liar or stupid?

"Stephanopoulos: Will NYT Article Rally Rush, Ingraham to McCain?"

No. We conservatives will just enjoy the Rino / Lib Media self-destruction.

Laura Ingraham (aka little miss sunshine) played this clip. She then used the opportunity - in spite of not buying the NY Times allegations - of attacking McCain nonetheless. Why? For "cozying up" with the MSM! I guess he was suppose to be spending his time cozying up with Ingraham, Rush, and other members of the "conservative" media who hate every fiber of his being!

One would think that after a while folks like Ingraham would get a bitterness and cynicism hangover...unfortunately, people like her only seem to gain energy and thrive on negativity.

Old news to Rush, Georgie...he saw this coming even before the Times “endorsed” McCain.
