Do you have data that back up that Arkansas has the largest illegal population? Doesn’t sound right to me. I checked and found data for 2005 (includes legal and illegal), but if you have something newer, please post a link:

Yeah, I don’t much like my Governor either and some say he is on the short list for McCain’s VP, but other people like him just fine.

I’ve talked with a lot of people from Arkansas that like Huckabee.

The Governors do not make Federal Law, but they do have to abide by it. Do you have documentation that shows he favored citizens OVER illegals? Prove it.

Okay, so it’s not his policies that bother you. It’s the fact that he is a Christian...and since Christians should not be allowed to run for political office in the U.S. according to you, then I can think of a whole lot of leaders in the U.S. (and a few Founding Fathers) that should not be in the history books.

Take care...

That’s not it at all. You’re missing the point by such a wide margin I don’t even know where to begin.

Every US President since our founding has been a Christian.

My point is simply that:

“More Jesus and less government” is good.

Huck believes in “More Jesus AND MORE GOVERNMENT”. That’s not so good.

Jimmy Carter was a good Christian. Would you vote for him if he ran for a second term tomorrow?

I’m going to sleep. Good night.

Yeah, I’m about to turn in also. Glad we could keep it civil, at least.

I disagree. I had read the same things about Huckabee on a lot of blogs and discussion boards, but then I dug deeper and he became my candidate.

The only vote I ever regret casting in my life was for Jimmy Carter, so no I would not vote for him again...lol (and I would say more about his Christian status, but that is for God to judge and not me...)

I think what has happened is that people had such high hopes for President Bush (who I love and voted for twice but still disagree with on many issues) and were disappointed, that some of that is carrying over to “any” other Christian candidate.

Sleep well...

You betcha:
“Green told WND that two legislative study groups he helped organize this past summer concluded Arkansas has more illegal immigrants per capita than any other state and that its Hispanic illegal immigrant population is the fastest growing of any state in the nation.”

And, now why don’t explain to me how Huckabee is not supporting illegal aliens over our elderly. You have plenty of questions and no answers.

Check it out! Huckabee supported business, not the good citizens of Arkansas!

You cannot support illegal alien instate tuition, driver’s licenses, suppressed American wages and still support Americans. He supported illegal slave labor thus bringing down the wages of Arkansas laborers! Logic, my dear, logic!

I found a per capita study. Arkansas ranks 28th:

Show me your studies and we’ll compare.

I have given documentation for everything we have discussed.

Okay, I’ll research your tidbits tomorrow and reply. Right now, it’s past my bedtime.

By the way, my Governor in Alabama used all kinds of incentives to get the big car manufacturers to locate here. Governors give incentives to get businesses to locate in their state.

Have a good night!

How convenient for you, nightie.

Big car manufacturers give Americans jobs. Big business rapes American workers of living wages by hiring illegal slave labor and Mike Huckabee supported this in Arkansas!

Sorry I was wasted and it was way past my bedtime and even before you and I started out “tit-for-tat” I said I was about to turn in, so no, I wasn’t avoiding you.

The two critics of Huckabee in Arkansas who were very verbal about it were Jim Holt and Joe McCutchen. I would simply ask that you do some research on them as well.

Those big car manufacturers my Governor brought to the state of Alabama are mostly foreign companies and he gave great incentives to get them located here. I don’t see how that is much different than Huckabee providing a Mexican consulate in Arkansas. It’s not like it was the first consulate anywhere in the U.S. Mexico (like it or not) is a big business partner with the U.S.

I need to correct something I said earlier. You said Huckabee placed illegals over regular citizens and when I asked you to prove it, I transposed my words, so I’ll ask again for you to show me where Huckabee placed illegals OVER regular Arkansas citizens. I haven’t found any evidence of that but if you have please share with me.

Is Huckabee perfect? No, I don’ know anyone who is, but the amount of propaganda out there on this man that I have been able to dig further and actually dispel for the most part is astounding.

Reminds me of when I was an active supporter of Chief Justice Roy Moore and watched how the media distorted his record and things he said first hand. When you see propaganda being perpetrated up close and personal, you get a tad bit skeptical of reading it about others. That is why I always research all sides of an issue before making a decision on how I feel.

I have done that with Huckabee and I still support him. I do hope he can take this race to the convention, but I have no illusions. I highly doubt that even if he makes it there that he would be the nominee, but it WOULD allow the Republicans one more chance to pick a more conservative candidate than John McCain.

Bloomie said this about our current immigrant wave: And they have more than repaid us.

I'd like to see a list of ways they've repaid us. Maybe he means they've helped elect more liberals like him.

At least I am consistent. I am against all illegal immigration
including the Mayflower initiated. You have no counter-point so you resort to rudeness.
