Never been to China, I see.
Atheism is not only “...the refusal to accept the presence or existence of (a) supernatural master(s)”
The alpha-negative can bee seen as either a lack of somthing, or hostility toward something.
So atheism can also be defined as the directly hostile hatred for anything spiritual. And in that lies the base motive to kill believers.
lacs...lacks!

No.
That sort of interpretation can be applied to the Theists as well. I can just as well claim that people follow religions to kill people of other religions.
Both assumptions, yours, and the one above, being idiotic, of course.
So basically what you’re saying is that there is no morality without god?
BTW: I’m an atheist and I consider myself very moral. I could even tell you where my morals come from and why I believe in them but they have nothing to do with a god.
British anthropologist J.D. Unwin studied 86 major civilizations over an expanse of 5000 years history. . .only those that embraced premarital abstinence and fidelity within monogamous marriage were able to establish an enduring, expansive culture. There has been no known moral system other than religion that asserts a moral justification for the postponing of sexual gratification.
Well my question revolved around morality without a god and you answered with an assertion from Thomas Jefferson and a study from the 1930’s from an British Imperialist who thought that 19th century morality was the best thing that ever happened and when it came to cultural stability, civilizations that have been around for only a few hundred years were more stable then one’s who had been around for a thousand simply because they were still around when he lived.
“idiotic”?
Not only are you wrong, but you’re also rude.
have a nice day.
I'm speaking about moral systems that have endured. ..they are generally rooted in a belief in God. . .as was the founding of the greatest country in human history: USA. . .You assert you are following a personal system of morality that doesn't depend on God. . .but you are not a island. ..you are living in a country whose rule of law, Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Liberties are rooted in the idea of God and the "blessings of liberty." So far, any society that attempted to endure otherwise only produced tyranny. Can you point out even one officially atheistic society that didn't produce a ghastly level of tyranny?
BTW, you are entirely free in America to think as illogically as you like!
I take Jefferson’s words to heart...when he writes out and explains why he believes what he does which is usually the case.
Unwin did a study based on assumptions so bad that it would make a global warming nut blush.
The problem is that you treat atheism as an ideology, it’s not. Do you believe what you do because you’re a theist? Hell satan worshipers are theists, it doesn’t mean much at all! Does my not believing in a god tell you my politics? My ethics?
The only countries in the world that are officially atheist are the communists ones and that’s because it’s central to that godforsaken philosophy (no pun intended). However they’re tyrannical because they’re commies, not because they’re atheists. The inverse of what’s you’re saying is that to be free a country has to be officially theist, and the US obviously isn’t whereas other officially theist countries aren’t anywhere near as free although some are.
Yes, the comment, not you.
A nice day to you too!
In comparison, only about 2% of the 169 million examples of democide in the 20th Century were due to religious conflict.
Atheistic nations are more inclined to kill than Theistic nations because they are not restrained by God.
"Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom". Prov 1:7
Rudolf Eucken, Nobel Prize for Literature 1908, saw religion and civilization as remaining separate and supporting each other, both necessary. Drop one and the other will go away.
Actually the relationship would come from them having no moral code except their own compass to live on... of which many of these leaders failed.
