DC Recruiting Center Under Attack: Rocks and Paint Bombs: Cops Under Orders to do Nothing
On-Scene Call From Kristinn | March 19, 2008

Posted on 03/19/2008 1:48:04 PM PDT by tgslTakoma

Just got a call from Kristinn on-scene.

This is the SECOND round of attacks that the station and Freepers have withstood today.

Cops are clearing the street of cars so the violent radicals can march down the street to the recruiting center unencumbered.

Crowds have been throwing rocks, paint bombs in GLASS bottles, water bottles, and anything esle they can throw.

MPDC Chief Cathy Lanier was there before the attacks, ORDERING HER OFFICERS to DO NOTHING if the station was attacked.

No arrests are being made.

More info as I get it.

Kristinn is asking any Freepers and Friends in the area to come down and stand with the Freepers there now.

Be aware that this is not a place for children.

that was a situation that could have spiralled out of control.

It nearly did spiral...big time! Kristinn and I literally blocked one commie freak that got around the line of officers from getting in the door of the center.

I was hoping to catch that segment on FOX, but had a phone call and forgot all about it! ;*(

After a marathon like that, how I wish I could email you all a footrub and big mugs of cocoa!

One project I’m working might DO that! Well, almost...

Thank you for what you and the others did today, err, yesterday! It was wonderful!

Your courage is inspiring.

I hope we can all learn from your after action reports. We have to have a disciplined way to counter the great unwashed at future events.

IANAL...is it "Federal Property" if it's leased space and they don't damage anything inside?

Sure, just as much as many parts of large military bases, which are not Owned outright by the federal government. Tinker AFB for example. Much of the west side of the base belongs to the city of Oklahoma City, including all of the housing area, and the hospital. Also a bunch of space to the North of the original base, which is also leased space, some on the far east side as well, and the old GM plant to the south, will eventually house Air Force facilities. It's all got SPs or Federal Police (or in some cases it may have rent a guards at the gates, but SPs and Federal DoD police patrolling inside.

Assault on a PIG.. (as the MoonRats call them) ... I mean Police Officer, and no charges? Oh boy.

Don't try this yourselves fellow FReepers, not that you would, but the response would not be the same.

Prezusa222 at front of photo, standing up against the rioters. Brave Freeper (and SASter leader) Basil holding sign at window of recruiting station. I think the guy waving the flag is our young lurker.

Those Moonbats are braver, or more stupid, than I thought. (Stupid gets my vote!). *I* wouldn't want to be POing Basil. She's likely to be armed and dangerous. Probably not in DC, but OTOH, you never know. And she's dangerous even without being armed with a firearm. (She is a 6th generation Texican you know!).

Glad to see that you made it to your compound safe and sound. Maybe when my shift changes...

You ladies are a heckuva lot tougher than the police chief and the wimpy men on the city council.

It's going to get worse in DC before it gets better, thanks to the 'Rat city bigwigs. Street cops will be hurt, civilians will be hurt, there will be much more property damage, all at the hands of the radicals running wild.

Our only hope is the Supremes coming back with a vote to allow the law-abiding residents of DC a common-sense means of self-defense.

Then I'll have to choose between my SP101 and my Taurus 85.

;-)

Now, go get some rest young lady.

Oh, and a P.S. - Chief Lanier can kiss my rump!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Given that St. Paddy's day was only a couple of days ago, I'd have said she could kiss my Royal Irish Ass, and I'm not even Irish, AFAIK.

what if the targets were Democratic Party offices?

That would be Different just like the protests/vandalism/obstruction at IRS was Different (The DemonRat Congress needs to keep our money flowing in so they can buy votes with it).

there IS a strange resemblance to an old mare I once had...

What an insult to a poor defenseless animal. If she were there, and understood, she'd probably kick the snot out of you, or least give you a good nip on your sitter.

1957? What happened then? A little before my comprehension time.

Integration of Little Rock school. National Guard first called out to oppose integration, but was then federalized by Ike to get them out of the way. Then Ike sent the 101st Airborne in to enforce the law and integrate the school.

ANY PROTESTER WHO GETS VIOLENT SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY ARRESTED. HOW ON EARTH CAN OUR COUNTRY ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN?

Ain’t it great how President Bush weakened the Posse Comitatus protections by slipping some things into HR5122? Won’t it be SUPER-DUPER when Hillary or Barack can declare an emergency and use the standing army against the citizens?

Haven't found a link to that decree yet, but I did find a recent "anti graffiti" act which makes the property owner liable for removing it, not the city who failed to prevent it, or the little scumballs who generate it. If you don't remove it, and they do so, and your don't pay for it, they can take the property. Only in a MoonBat City, sigh..

That guy with the traffic cone on his head might as well just use a marker and write STUPID across his forehead, it would be less trouble and send the same message.

It could be the ANTI-INTIMIDATION AND DEFACING OF PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY CRIMINAL PENALTY AMENDMENT ACT OF 2008”, B17-0627, although the DC council site seems to indicate that hasn’t passed yet, at least when you try to click on the link to either the votes on it, or to the text, you get an error. (Maybe it was “disappeared???). In any event it seems to have been sponsored by all of the council members. (Sponsored by 12 and co-sponsored by 1, out of 13 total members.
