Opposition from land owners? You mean they LIKE drug smugglers leaving trails of pop cans and drug needles through their yards and shooting their dogs?

This graphic from Potlatch always makes me double up in laughter. In the short time I’ve spent on FR, I don’t think I’ve ever seen another graphic that conveys so many messages so effectively.

I hope real Texans will send Kay Bailey into retirement without so much as a Timex. She is of the same political party as McCain..........The Backstabber party.

Once Bush is out of office you guys will realize he did more to secure the border than any other President Uh..................................On second thought, never mind...It would be a waste of effort to type a response to such a asinine, ludicrous comment.

LOL....given that his own Homeland Sec. Chief spoke about this admin’s distaste for enforcing border security, I fail to see the basis for your statement.
Additionally, we’ll see if the fence gets built first.

If it's going to be so blatantly obvious then, can't you divulge what will make it so obvious at that time. I don't see it.
Plus, millions of Canadians (shudder!) can just waltz right into this country, and Bush hasn't done ANYTHING about that.

I hope this is not an April Fool’s article.

Doesn’t work that way. You made an unsupported assertion. The burden for providing proof lies in your court and not AuntB’s.

The fence cuts across many ranches that operate on both sides of the border.

Does anyone know if this thing will be single or double layered, assuming it gets built at all.
(I remember the National Guardsmen who were sent to the border but were prevented from actually intercepting illegals.)

Bush pulls rank to finish fence (Bypasses environmental laws, ...to complete 670-mile barrier) Gee, I think I've heard this tune before... back in 2006 just before those elections.
Using national security as a political stunt is truly disgusting and insulting as well.

If I was a terrorist in Mexico and I saw a great big 700 foot tall fence separating me from the US where I really really wanted to go and kill a few thousand people I would get a boat at Jose’s boat rental and head for say Florida , Texas , Loisiana , Alabama , California, Oregon...or, oh lets see maybe there are a few other places I might find to go, I just cant think of em.
The idea that the border fence has anything to do with keeping terrorists out of the US is as silly as most of you border nuts ...Come on down to New Mexico where I am..I’ll give you a gun and You can go guard the border
Still GW Bush will quietly do what he can
