This test aims to verify the safety of H5N1 vaccine in humans. After the injection, all volunteers were in normal condition.
These people will be monitored for seven days more to ensure the safety of the vaccine.
On March 6, these people took the first dose of type A/H5N1 vaccine and no abnormal symptoms were recorded before they were injected with the second dose.
The Health Ministry in early March approved the testing of type A/H5N1 vaccine on humans. This vaccine is produced by a local company, Vabiotech.
The testing, conducted by the Military Health Institute, began in March and will last for eight months. The test features two phases to determine the vaccines safety and the suitable dosage.
Last year the vaccine was tested on mice, and was efficacious in preventing them from contracting the toxic A/H5N1.

Okay...google just told me it’s the avian influenza.
H5N1 is the technical shorthand for the strain of type A influenza commonly called bird flu. H stands for hemaglutinin, and N stands for neuraminidase, two of the proteins that the virus makes, IIRC. There are various versions of the proteins; so, they number them to identify the various strains.
