TRACY LaGONDINO is pregnant, and that news has drawn a fair amount of attention. It's been in People magazine, on "Oprah," all over the Internet. Tracy's baby, due in July, is doing well. But Tracy has a serious problem, and the rest of us do, too.
A 34-year-old who grew up in Hawaii and used to compete in beauty contests - she was once a finalist in the Miss Hawaii Teen USA pageant - Tracy, who now calls herself Thomas Beatie, apparently suffers from Gender Identity Disorder, syndrome 302.85 in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association. According to news accounts, she has felt uncomfortable with her female identity since adolescence. When she was in her 20s, the Telegraph of London reported, "she became more masculine," began a lesbian relationship, "and researched what it meant to be a transgender male." There followed breast-removal surgery and testosterone injections. Tracy/Thomas grew a beard, changed her legal identity to male, and married her partner, Nancy.
But it takes more than a mastectomy and hormone treatments to overturn biology. Thomas may be a man in the eyes of the law, but she remains physically a woman, with a woman's reproductive system, a woman's genitals, and a woman's chromosomes. So when she and Nancy decided to have a baby, she had little trouble conceiving through artificial insemination. The result is the spectacle that has drawn so much attention: a bearded pregnant woman named Thomas, who identifies herself as a man, and has a lawfully wedded wife.
What you make of all this depends on your political outlook. Transgender activists, radical feminists, and others at the cultural extreme who insist that sex differences between men and women are patriarchal constructs, not hardwired facts of life, will applaud Thomas and Nancy as gender-bending pioneers...

something sounds really fishy about somebody ‘unhappy with their female identity’ to be entering numerous beauty contests - which are pretty much all about female identity.
Mental Illness sounds appropriate though. This is somebody who hates herself. But changing her gender won’t make her a different person and it won’t make her a better person. And it won’t make her any less a lesbian.

I hope the child is removed from this deviant and put with a normal family.

If she sees herself as a “male” why didn’t she have her female partiner artificially inseminated? I think she has more than just gender identity issues...
She is mentally ill, and the surgeons that agree to alter these people permanentely are ill as well. This is not right and no matter what she does, she will never be a he and God help this poor little baby.
Because her partner had a hysterectomy. Just two more nutty, narcissic lesbians plagueing the planet with demands for attention.

Mental illness results from an inability to discern truth. We have lots of mental illness in our culture, which is not diagnosed as such because America has bought into the PC lies. Usually I’d say live and let live, except now there’s an innocent human being growing inside this totally messed up woman.

I have known three people who are both male and female. One I went to school with. One my son went to school with. And one was a baby girl we met in 1981 with her parents. There are transgendered people who are born that way. Has nothing to do with End Times. The one who is my age, they left the male parts on her, but she looked like a girl and dressed like a girl. Maybe back then they didn’t know how to FIX it. The other two, one my son went to school with, they chose to make her into a girl and it was NOT the right decision, she looks like a husky boy. The third one, they were going to wait till she hit puberty to decide if she was more male or more female. It wasn’t obvious yet which way that one would go. So this happens, it is a birth defect. And these people need love too.
I also met a girl who was born without a womb. I don’t think they were ever able to fix that. Probably in the near future they will be able to. Another girl I knew had double everything, two uterus, four ovaries. She had children, no problem. And I don’t think she ever had twins. We are all as different on the inside as we are on the outside. Thank goodness for modern surgery!
Has he ... she ... it been on Jerry Springer yet? Nancy Grace needs to look into this, there’s got to be something illegal about this.
That is what doctors call intersex, which is very different from what this woman did. One is a birth defect, the other is a mental illness.
