(Chicago, Ill., 4/24/08) - In response to the ever rising cost of a barrel of oil, and increasing costs domestically for gasoline and food, the campaign of Senator Barack Obama, (D-Ill) today released this startling statement announcing major policy shifts:
"It has become painfully clear if we are to reduce our reliance on foreign oil, we must do the following: Open ANWR to drilling, drill for shale oil in Colorado, drill in North Dakota, drill for oil and gas in the Gulf of Mexico and off the coast of Florida, invest in wind farms off of Cape Cod, build more refineries, build more nuclear plants and build more clean coal burning plants. We must also eliminate biofuels and biofuel research allowing farmers to once again plant wheat and corn for human consumption eliminating hunger in this country and elsewhere worldwide."
Continuing, "We came to this conclusion because we want the bitter little people to understand if the Republican Party won't stand up to environmentalists and the far left of the Democratic Party, we center-right Democrats will because we care. Besides, once we hugely increase taxes on everyone to pay for the social programs we want to institute, we must leave at least some government controlled discretionary income to the people so they can afford at least some of the basics."

Not sure if true or not - but MARK MY WORDS, once Obama gets the nomination, he is going to move to the right as quickly as possible. In an attempt to attract “mainstream” voters, and allow the MSM to cover his ass, he will be talking about tax-cuts, drilling in ANWR, getting tough on Iran, “family values” and any other camaflouge he can come up with.
