Over and over, the libs keep saying this election is about which will triumph: ageism, sexism or racism. (Which says a lot about how they see the world; everything is negative.)
McCain could trump them all by taking Michelle Malkin as VP. Here's a ticket with male and female, age and youth, liberal and conservative, white and non-white (which is completely irrelevant as far as I'm concerned, but the libs seem to focus heavily on such things).
The only possible counter would be a Clinton-Obama ticket, and there's no way that will happen now.
Put here at the top of the ticket with McCain in the role of Cheney, the gravitas giver.
Still holding out for the magnificent Sarah Palin!
That is pure BS.
I want both ;)
Malkin isn’t considered a “true minority” for a couple of reasons.
First, she’s a conservative.
Second, she’s Asian, not a true minority, because Asians succeed at higher rates than the general population instead of at lower rates.
how about janice rodgers brown?
Lawn signs and bumper stickers could read Vote McCain 08 & Malkin 09-12!
A better scenario would be for this year’s dhimmirat convention fight to cause the dissolution of the dhimmirats as a viable party,
then we “right flank” McCain in 2012 with the “Free Republic” party.
As we found with Clarence Thomas, Miguel Estrada and Condoleeza Rice, race, sex and ethnicity are all quite meaningless when you’re a Republican/conservative.
I think you can count on McCain not picking someone who has never held elective office.
From which side of the border? Which side of the isle?
“Wasnt Michelle an anchor baby?”
Do elaborate
Google it. There are lots of articles.
I second that notion!
Yes!
Michelle Malkin for President!
I’ve looked at almost all the Googled “articles” on Michelle Malkin being an “anchor baby”. All of them are left-wing, open borders, pro-illegal sites. Apparently, her parents were in the U.S. on student visas when she was born here. What some of these sites state is “according to right-wing philosophy, an ‘anchor baby’ or ‘jackpot baby’ can be born from either legal OR illegal aliens.”
I disagree. They’re saying that ANY foreign national couple or foreign national woman who is already pregnant or who becomes pregnant while in the country and has the baby or babies in the U.S. means these babies are “anchor babies”. MY interpretation of anchor babies is pregnant ILLEGAL ALIENS breaking into the U.S. either as smugglees or as Border jumpers who then give birth in the U.S. There is a huge difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL aliens.
Googled it. Lots of very uncompelling articles/blog posts on the subject.
Looks like she was born to legal immigrants.
Actually it looks like her mother was pregnant before coming over on a work visa.
Well, I think we can agree that she was born to foreign nationals in this country TEMPORARILY.
We will never know the motivation of her parents but many people find this a handy path to citizenship.
Malkin should be on the top of the ticket.
Why would Juan McCain want a running mate who was infinitely smarter, better looking and more conservative than he is?
This is more his speed:
Michelle would wind up arguing more with McCain that with Obama or Clinton
In other words, she does not like him one little bit.
I wish, but it’ll never happen. McCain is afraid of Malkin. Rightly so.
Ill be honest, I clicked the link from HotAir because I thought this was about Evgeni Malkin. He’s kind of a VP right now. If it wasn’t for that whole Russian thing, he’d be money.
I for one am glad for it. The circumstances of her birth are of no importance to me when considering what she has done with her citizenship. Should we retro-actively revoke the citizenship of everybody that became Americans by that, currently legal, route? I don’t know that I want to know who that would hit.
You’re just sowing FUD here.
"Not even if he picked ME to be his VP."
I'll be very surprised if he doesn't pick some noodle spined sycophant. Even a democrat. But more likely he'll pick another moderate liberal that PRETENDS to be a Republican.
McCain is a very courageous man... But not brave enough to pick Michelle Malkin. He'd be more likely to pick Michelle Obama.... She hates conservatives as much as he does.... Although even MO is too strongly outspoken for McCain too.... He can't stand to be around anyone that will stand up to him or point out his errors.
IOW, maybe she’s not considered by some to be truly a “minority” because she’s not playing a victim?
