TICK TOCK THE RNC IS DEAD
May 7, 2008 | Me

Posted on 05/07/2008 9:57:05 AM PDT by captnorb

Here in NC the LIBERAL mayor of Charlotte beat our conservative candidate; and the dem ex lawyer who tried to be sheriff even though he could not pass the FBI srceening process; who had filed bankruptcy and happens to be black beat out all other candidates for NC state representative in his district. So much for qualifications.

The time is here where the people who receive from the government(paid by you and me) will do anything and vote for anyone(no matter their professional and personal life) as long as the pork keeps flowing.

I blame every GOP RNC rino for not standing up for the standards set by President Reagan. They are working hard to be the most liberal politicans in congress. Of course they are only lining their own pockets and assuring the trial lawyers are the majority in the congress.

We need a new party or strong standard bearer that to hopefully lead us conservatives out of the wilderness.

We need more than a new party, we need a whole new "back-to-the-Constitution" government.

So you think voters who love pork would actually prefer a party of no-pork? How would that work exactly?

If McCain does not have a major meltdown before the convention and actually is nominated to run for POTUS, then it indicated we have a one party system.

Next time the RNC mails you a contribution form send a copy of your above FR rant and $O.00 amount. No spine$ = no dime$. That's my response everytime they ask me for $$.

We need voters who quit looking for someone to say “I’m from the government and I’m here to help” even if it is our own pet issue.

Hmmmmmmm, you might want to consider moving. Sounds like this guy will do for NC what Nagin did for Chocolate City and we know what happens as a result. One of the results is the rapid escalation of the murder rate and escalation of overall mayhem. Oddly enough, they go up and to the right as do the taxes!

You think that`s bad ?

Wait until November and witness Prez Obama with a Democrat super majority in the Senate.

McCain`s a liberal, no chance the base comes out to vote.

There are plenty of other parties already.
But they don’t win elections.
You have to work within the GOP.

The way you win is through the grassroots.
I see a lot of conservatives sitting on their hands, waiting for someone else to do something.

Organize in your area. Contribute. Let your elected leaders, the RNC, and GOP candidates know exactly what you want. Start a petition. Join a grassroots movement.

Sounds to me that your immediate problem is numbers. The dems obviously outnumber the repubs.......

I know, but it is so fun to point out that we are the voters that put those people in DC and we (including I) need to remember for every finger we point at DC, we have three others pointing back at us. We need to start getting our message of Conservative ideals (versus issue by issue ideas) back to the voters.

The GOP is going the way of the Whigs.

One comment for conservatives who choose to stay home or vote 3rd party:

Cut off nose, spite face.

I will hold my nose and vote for McCain against the communist, whichever one it eventually turns out to be.

It is tough, but we have to couch it less in economic terms, but in terms of freedom and individual liberty.

And if the argument returns to economic terms, show them how silly government is.

Remind people that the government runs the DMV. Remind them that the government runs the Post Office. Ask them to contrast the Post Office to FedEx.

Ask people to look at their paychecks. Ask them to imagine what they could do with the extra $1000+ a month that the government takes from most middle class Americans.

Ask them if that $1,000 a month is better spent on the Post Office and DMV or in their own pockets. What type of car or house could they buy with that kind of money?

Ask them if their publicly run schools which cost them $8,000 a year per child outperforms a private school that costs less. Ask them why the best schools in the country are private and not government.

Ask them about their property taxes. Ask our seniors if they should be renting their property from the government when they retire when their house is probably fully paid off.

Ask them if they trust their government? Do they want the people they think are spying on them illegally to run the Healthcare industry?

What is this interesting dichotomy of not trusting the government, but then wanting them to run their lives?

But what politician talks like this anymore? Who has such a cohesive message since Reagan?

Show us a man or woman like that, and I think that they would have a shot to be elected to almost any position in this country assuming they have the support of a national party. But I don’t think that either the RNC or DNC would field such a person. Just look at the field of top-tier candidates this cycle!

I think Americans still would like to be Free. But they also need to be reminded. Because the MSM is not going to!

The Blue Cities have higher crime, higher divorce rates and more welfare than many of the Red counties surrounding them. Why? It's very simple - liberal laws are lax where they need to be strict and strict where they need to be moderate.

Ever notice how most blue cities are getting super strict on smoking but more leanient on criminals every year? You can thank a liberal/progressive for it.

But when a red politician comes in and imposes law and order even on trash and jaywalking all the sudden crime dries up? Yeah, there is a reason for that, the criminals move to another Blue run city. Doh!

Meh. Personally, I don’t have a hard decision to make because I’m in California and there’s no way McCain is going to win, even if he ran against an inanimate carbon rod running on the Democrat ticket (some Simpsons humor).

As far as I can tell McCain is pretty much a socialist (unhinged socialist to boot). What gets me is that if he ran as a Democrat, no Freeper would probably vote for the guy!

Perhaps this country needs a commie in charge to remind them how bad it is. Otherwise, we get McCain as the standard bearer for Republicanism, and a party that will not fight its President in Congress, with a willing Democrat Congress and President to pass all sorts of kooky Global Warming Initiatives, more Socialized Medicine (as if Bush’s Prescription Drug Plan wasn’t bad enough!), Open Borders Initiative/Amnesty, etc...

Sorry. Does not Compute.

No, it takes effort and commitment to be conservative. Being a liberal is easy.
