That is a ridiculous assertion. Right off the top of my head I could name at least a dozen people I don’t hate.I agree. I can think of at least 3...no, make that 2. ;-)

Oddly, most of the Liberals I have known we the ones suffering “inequality” at the same time I was; they are still Liberal; still “unequal”, and still unhappy about it.
My unsupported opinion is that Liberals are unhappy, because they sit around bitching, instead of working to close the “inequality gap”, thus remaining “unequal” and unhappy.
The Conservative is happy because, starting from the same point of ‘inequality’, he has striven, made gains, and is happy with the ongoing result.
Whistle while you work...and, unlike Liberals, remember that “the Lord loves a cheerful giver” and “blesses those who bless Him.”

To show "superiority?"
Fear of going to Hell, if they keep all of their "obscene, misgotten gains" for themselves?
To make Libs feel bad about having to say, "sorry; I gave at the IRS"?
Those are some of the reasons off the top of my head that they would give IF they "didn't care". Of course, every one of them is a Liberal projection.
